Hey hun - if your really into singing and want to get serious you need to get some lessons.
A couple of things I noticed are that you're a little flat because your not singing from the stomach but the throat. and your vibrato is being forced and needs tightening. Vibrato is the waver on long notes - your doing it on purpose but vibrato is something that just appears after alot of practice and requires no effort at all.
Just realised how harsh that was lol sorry - but I don't believe in telling people they are brilliant just to please them - HONESTY!!!
Some good things though are your grace notes. Can tell you've been practising those and they sound excellent. And recording yourself and playing back is a great way of learning. Practice Practice!!! You'll get there!
lol its all good, i agree with what you said. I post these to get feedback like that :)
i think i need to focus a little more on the quality, im always sitting down at my computer desk when recording these, i need to stand and practise a few times before i start recording and also do a few different takes before i put them online. (but i just get sooo lazy lol).
also.. Ive noticed my vibrado sounds really forced aswell.. again i think its caused by laziness on my part, im just not trying or really listening to the way i sing.
I really gotta work on technique.. i havent been singing much these days and its really slipping (as u can hear).
But thanks heaps for your feedback, its not harsh at all. its exactly what i prefer. *(rather than people going "yeah that wasnt that great".. i love knowing how and why also)
Your vibrato* doesn't sound bad at all, though I can sort of understand why you say it sounds forced, because it does to an extent. But you have a beautiful tone, and as dannyjam said - the ornamentation and grace notes are very impressive.
yayyy first comment!! this sounds really awesome just like every other one of your singing videos. i think you should try out for an Idol compitition! you would go far.
OMG one of my fave songs in the world, you'd soung great singing Iris, that would absolutly rock. fave.
