i played through the hole game and only died 4 times with 20 lives and 11 continues but the last final boss after metal sonic i lost and used up all lives etc i suck

I actually think I never enjoyed a soundtrack more in a game than Sonic 2. Except for maybe the GTA games, but that's all licensed music, not special made for the game .

the easiest way to defeat the final boss is when after he shoots up in the sky go to a reasonable amount of space short but not very short he'll come down and you'll be behind it after he detonates bombs you're home free to attack him without mercy.

Another thing Those of you who Dont know If you suck at geting the Chaos Emeralds and you want em by the end of the first stage After you collect a Chaos Emeraldwhen the screen turns white and the zone is fading away Hit reset on the Sega genesis and reload the game through the options menu and youl still have the chaos emeralds you collected until your good enough to actually do it withought cheating
