Giant Baba sounds like Gorilla Monsoon. Separated at birth? Anyway, brilliant, brilliant match. Misawa might have no-sold a bit too much, but then I think he's slightly better than Kawada anyway. I'd like to see anybody no-sell a flurry of Misawa elbow strikes while standing on two feet.

Finally watched this match after hearing the hype... rarely does a hyped-match live up to your expectations, but this DID- Misawa and Dangerous Kid beating & stretching each other...even the selling was FAR better & more realistic than American wrestling...Out of curiosity, was that Riki Chosu on color commentary? Who was the play-by-play guy?

OMG! What the... Holy... WOW! Perhaps the best match i've ever seen. That commentator is intense! I didn't know it was humanly possible to say headbutto that fast. I feel like I just did some lines, that's how good this match is. If Kawada kicked out of that Tiger Driver the audience's heads would have collectively exploded. Both men showed the soul of a Samurai!

Yeah, this is one, if not my favorite match ever. Just simply greatly wrestled and booked. Misawa's psychology was unbelievable; he knew where everything fitted in the match. He was the best at structuring a match virtually ever. Kawada was great too. I always loved his never say die character, that he did so well. Kawada was a great stiff worker, but as much as he could dish out-- he could also take it as well. In my opinion,to be "stiff"-- you have to be able to take it both ways(no pun)

I can't remember watching a Puro match where the crowd goes from classic Japanese applause and respect, to marking out like the rest of us in such an awesome way. This match is a representation of what AJPW did and was in the '90's, and how it changed the way wrestling could be viewed.

Kawada is just awesome with all of those kicks. Those forearms from Misawa at the end were awesome. I soon recognized the ending from a Tiger Driver clip I had seen before, but he certainly over came a lot. I would have thought the backdrop driver and follow up powerbomb would have sealed the win, but Misawa is Misawa. Such an amazing match and it has been added to my 5*match playlist!

Fuck Miaswa and his skinny, green, no-jobbing ass. I mean it was a great match, but Kawada and Kobashi are so much better than Misawa. As a Kawada fan that ending sequence was brutal. When he made that last flurry and then had his final rolling kappo kick blocked. I was so disappointed. Chock up another win for the evil Emperor of Japan.

TNA still has a chance, IMO. They need to make that talent exchange program with New Japan more of a main attraction, for one. If they bring in the right wrestlers from Japan, a lot of American puro fans will take notice. That might be the one thing they still have left that could make them huge.
