The absurdity of the "waffling" charge has been shown,and as I stated in my original comment, Obama putting more troops into Afghanistan, as he promised in his campaign, hardly constitutes a "commitment" to war, as if that's his primary interest and objective. Taliban and the "code word" al qaueda have been based there for years. That's why we have troops there.

Congress "borrowed" hundreds of billions to pay for the war, starting financial strain.
Since the war started it has cost an approximate $4 billion a month. $48 billion a year with an estimated $1 trillion by the time it is over.
Instead of attacking each other why not look at how war started.

Once again I am saddened to hear that it seems okay to suggest that American lives are more valuable than any other people's lives. It seems like in the video people don't care a damn about casualties in other countries as long as American lives are not destroyed. No one brings up the statistics on Iraqis dying each day. Iraqi citizens die more deaths than American soldiers, yet they are not even mentioned as being important to the war in Iraq. Shouldn't their safety be considered more?

No. People who vote for people like McCain, who want to carry on a regime which has so far ended over a million lives (conservative estimate), are the problem. This is a regime which began, by the way, about twenty years ago when the US supported Saddam through his worst crimes (I wasn't counting *those* lives lost, by the way).
The commenter above shouldn't have to leave his country. He (or she) has done nothing wrong. People who endorse war crimes should have to leave the country.

War isn't a crime, and you insult every single soldier who lays down his or her life for their country by saying that. War isn't pretty, and we would all like to pretend that it isn't necessary but that would be extremely naive. No one should *have* to leave, but if you aren't going to respect how our country was formed, and how it is still here today, then I don't think it's fair for you to reap the benefits of the freedom that others fought for you to have.

Graduated from CSUS with a Major in History Minor in Military History and Aerospace Studies in 2000. Graduated from PJ pipeline school October of 2000 and continued my training untill mid 2001. I was stationed with the 58th Rescue Sqd. at Nellis AFB untill weeks after 9/11 then served 3 tours in Afganistan. Shortly after my 3rd tour we entered war with Iraq and I served 4 tours in Iraq. In Febuary of 2007 I became one of the first officers as a regional strategist for Iran.

haha, they will not let our military defend themselves or take many preventative measures to keep our soldiers from being killed by insurgents. Like resricting access to certain high US soldier density areas or actually doing something about known terrorist harboring mosques.
Thankfully now the Iraqi military does most of the dirty work for us, but they can only last so long.
The one place are soldiers are truly safe is in their own base of duty, but on the streets anything could happen.
