Much fewer people actually comment than the amount of people who view videos. The people who comment on videos of the musical nature are dedicated fanboys (like yourself). Foos fans are no where near as dedicated as QOTSA fans. So, we can say that many more QOTSA fanboys roam the comments of youtube than foos fans, hence why there would be this hype you are mentioning. If there was a surprise foos tour, there would be more hype (more mainstream=more fans=more hype), just not on a TCV vid.
