This is BAD!!! Why? As more and more people see that Panama is becoming a new retirement haven and free-trade zone with great quality healthcare for a fraction of the cost of living in developed nations, local property values will soar and the cost of living will increase exponentially within the next 20 years. By that time, it will be too expensive to live there.

That, and much of the new land development is catering to upper middle-class lifestyles.
