To get the Hex file your best joining the Moogforum via Moogs official website and asking for it on there as the Hex is not given out willy nilly as in the wrong hands without clear instructions things can quite easily go drastically wrong.
@Subtronik mine did the same, took it to a independent synth repairer. there seems to be a resister missing from the power supply which causes the control data and LEDS to go crazy, as if the knobs are being moved by themselves. common problem apparently....good thing that these synths aren't expensive!
i have no idea why it happened the Phatty was working perfectly well one day then the next it wasn't , at least if it happens again i can fix it so its not really a concern to me.
The Debug Adaptor cost me £33 , i'm pretty sure if id of sent it away to get repaired the bill would of been 10 times that not to mention the carriage fee and waiting around so i'm chuffed to bits.
still sounds broken to me, hehe - just kidding !

I came very close to needing one of these. A failed upgrade almost bricked my Stage 1. So really the debugger is nothing but a JTAG USB adapter?

I'm not surprised that this happened to your Phatty actually.
I had two LP's and both were buggy. One died completely for no apparent reason while working with MIDI, and the other went nuts connected to a DAW.
Love the sound of the LP though but had to move up to a Voyager.

Yeah, but why did this happen in the first place? Seems odd that the synth would loose its flash data.
