@alphamax03 There are a ton of cues that echo soundtracks from other Sci Fi films, my ears count homages to: Star Wars, Star Trek the Motion picture (blaster beam instruments)/Klingon theme, Stargate, Independence day, and even a few 2001 reminders. The intent isn't to rip them off, it's to recall for the audience the emotion of those films too.
@alphamax03 it sounds like a bunch of different films: stargate, star wars, dark city, even a little Cecile B. Mile and Lawrence of Arabia......with a sprinkling of all the eastern european composers whom Yoko frequently takes queues from. It's not like ID4 was all that original either.
It'll happen from time to time, there's only so many sounds and patterns in music that some music is bound to sound alike. The same info's there, the same technology's there, much like the steam engine was invented in three different parts of Europe at the same time, at a time when the speed of info made it impossible that any of them plagiarized off each other.
she didn't plagiarize, inspired yes, but not plagiarize. It's really common. You can be inspired and have similar music, doesn't mean it plagiarize, or else they would be sued, I'm pretty sure everybody knows this. There are always similar sounding music.. So before you believe what people say on forums, know the difference between what I've said. Don't believe unproven facts on the internet.

the ending part is nearly entirely similar to the theme Independence Day when aliens arrive.
