  • The floors are at least twice as tall as normal buildings. Thats why it looks slow.

  • On some of the floors, actually.

  • Thats a slow traction elevator

  • A bit slow considering it's a passenger model.

  • That's why the Valmet-Schindler scenic elevators built in 1986 in the Hansa shopping centre can't be plain VALMET elevators. Since they have all these Schindler standard elevator fittings and the Schindler automatic door system they MUST be either Schindler or Valmet - Schindler elevators. But they have only the VALMET logo, no Schindler text anywhere.

  • VALMET-branded elevators may probably be OEM products of Schindler, i.e. apart from the brand name VALMET they're 100% Schindler products. You've got to get a Schindler engineer rather than one from VALMET regarding the maintenance unless VALMET personnel members make use of original Schindler parts and technologies for repair work.

  • Hey, those buttons are of the same type as the Valmet-Schindler scenic elevators installed in 1986 in the Hansa shopping centre here in Turku. The chimes are also the same as these.

  • Actually these are the most standard fittings of Schindler.

  • Um, isn't there an LG?

  • Yes, LG1. Not accessible by this lift, though.

  • Those elevators are crowded.

  • They are. They provide much quicker access between floors than escalators or any other elevator there.

  • That mall looks busy.

  • Yes, it's next to a major university main campus.

  • Its also because it is one of the only malls in the area. Hong Kong is always that crowded.
