Unresolved. The anonomyous caller later came forward and helped police locate the man named "Loren". However, there was not enough substantial evidence to convict him for the crimes. "Loren" was later arrested and convicted in other crimes, but has never been charged with the murders.

Too often we watch UM episodes which feature immigrants fleeing their country or foreign exchange students coming to America for a better opportunity, only to have their lives ended here (see Su-Ya-Kim, Alice Ransonet, etc.). The "American Dream" is slowly starting to lose it's luster amongst the rest of the world.
