Katie Holmes knew Rachel Dawes. Dawes was independent, and everything Katie Holmes said. Funny.. that's why most people didn't like her "version" of Rachel Dawes. Maggie Gyllenhaal completely changed the character which I didn't like. Maggie's a great actress, but Katie WAS Rachel Dawes. I don't understand how people can say Maggie did better. Dawes was an original character in Nolan's Batman movie so the only reference is the first actress who played her. Haters, push your hate for Katie aside.
