  • Basically "emitz" really does not know what he is talking about and practically He has no idea of his own cultrues Folk Dances. Which is a shame really. :-) SO Everyone please excuse him.

  • Actually the name of the Dance is called Pangalay, Janggay are what the nails are called. Displaying how the Noble women dance with their Elongated Fingernails.

  • nice! looks similar to the Janggay fingernail dance from the philippines! ^_^

  • Umm yes they do. There are three type of Fingernail Dances. Fon Leb, Fon Tian which is with Candles and this one Fon Ngew which is from Isaan. Jangay are Noble Mindanao Women with Long Nails painted for they do no work. Thus there is a dance for it.

  • Maybe both cultures got the idea from an earlier form.

  • haha, woooow. you have to learn more about thai culture ;)

who's to say that maybe filipino dance imitated our dance?

tinikling is the pole dance, right? we had to do that for PE in middle school. our version of it is called Lao Kratop Mai.
