  • I am the mother off Jim Motherwell's niece & nephew, His father who sadly passed away in Jan was a piper for almost 60 years he was a gem, Jim's son is also a piper and all three off them played for the Queen, I myself played them in my high school days, and I know it aint easy, most people couldn't even fill the bag up lol..... I am talking from experiance her Jim Motherwell is the Best in the world ... By far.

  • @ainztopteenmodel

Erm i worked under him, i might not agree with you lol

  • Luv the pipes Jim........... Ray fae Kilsyth

  • Excellent!!! :O) Well done hen!

  • an amerikan could have done the gig cheaper!

  • Regarding recent "piping forum" posts, I'm not so sure what all the noise is about regarding this video, Jim, or how the man is paid. Internet drama - more self promotion than substance.

  • That was a good show of good fun piping ,is that the same jim motherwell I saw playing desert storm for president bush snr in the white house a ways back .

    ?

  • @navypiper1 Yes it's the same Jim and he comes from my village here in Scotland

  • Love the hands on the back, Jim's right hand fingering along, but mostly hidden.. ahh so that's the trick?

  • Jim Motherwell one of the Very Best & The Queens Piper..a Good Guy.....

  • Way to go CoryAnne!!

  • Nice job, lots of fun. Jim' s a friend who sent me the link.

    Cheers

  • Yes - lots of mistakes - all mine obviously (Coreyanne) - and I can't blame it on scotch because I'm two months pregnant!! But I can say - that's a lot harder than it looks!! :) But fun!!

  • navypiper - Unless Jim answers I don't know for sure, but it was probably him you saw since he does gigs like that - NCPiper - I agree, what's the big deal? I live in Hawaii and just posted this so my dad a big piping fan could see it - and finally, the fingers on the back - that was what I (the amateur) kept messing up. Jim was really good at making the hand not on the chanter really do it's job and I kept slacking off on that hand, and it really messes with your head when the other hand stops
