The complexity of her music is always little less than her routine, which ironically freed her technical prowess.

Stay away from familiar classic tune which is too demanding. And drop any Piano Tunes.

Everyone already knows the tune and when you are compelled to do your part, as you know well by now, it magnifies your mistakes and let you slip.

I have always admired the choice of Tara which was always original and hers only.

That was one of the differences between her and Michelle.

If you wanna say it's unfair or dull about her music (using same music for the last season) , you should tell Patrick Chan the same thing by all means. Because he changes only one program(SP or FP) every year.

It's ridiculous. It's not rare thing.

Mao's FP is the same music from the last season, but there are big changes of her spin positions, steps, and composition of the elements. It's very exciting to see her progress.

She skated this for only this year!...(2 seasons you mean perhaps) - Many skaters don't change their pros (Patrick Chan for e.g) - Plus she did not skate well through this pro during the first season - that's why she kept it for another one - Since she is reworking her techniques - She had to be comfortable in her FS! If you see her jumps from the past season - she wasn't confident at all - but now she is - and next season, she will change her FS for sure! :)

@KatrinchenOnIce How else can she become the first women to land 3 triple axels in the same competition? . Esp when it was getting close to the Olympic, knowing the lutz wasn't working in her favor. Beside she is one of a very few skater that always try to improve on everything else, her spins, spirals have always been getting better, always changing, not just this year.
