  • Both John Cowsill & Chris Farmer did this song well, & gave a noble effort. None will compare to Al & Carl, but I know they didn't try to do that. Good effort, John. Wolfsky9

  • The only one left in this lineup with any voice at all is John Cowsill. (IMO) He has really kept his voice over the years! Good drummer too.

  • it will never be the beach boys again, mike love is a hack, the guys who play in this band have been part of the group off and on for a very long time. nothing will beat the original line up of Brian,Carl,Dennis,Al, and Hack. they were indeed the real Beach Boys, all those who come after are just stand ins. Glenn Campbell replaced Brian, then Bruce came in after Glenn left, learn your history fullhousefreak2007

  • John Cowsill sounds awesome. I would know his voice anywhere--been a fan since the 60's.

    Huzzah JOHN!

  • John Cowsill sounds particularly great on this video. Gotta love that guy's voice! Thanks for posting.

  • Yup John is great !

    John Hunter Phillips

  • have to love this one

  • What a shame Mike has brought unto The Beach Boys' name. Having studio musicians stand in as "band members" and marketing it as The Beach Boys. Too bad Bruce Johnston has bought into Mike's scheme. This is a poor performance of a classic song deserving of Al Jardine's voice. Love and mercy.

  • you don't know what the hell you are talking about, I saw them back in July where they came to my town and they sound pretty damn good, if you don't like the video, why the hell are you commenting it

  • Clarify please. You mean a person is only supposed to comment if they like it ??!! What's the sense in having comments if they are only positive. i like the video, and i think they sound good, but no match for the real Beach Boys

  • these are the real Beach Boys

  • No they re not. This group has ONE original, Mike Love. One long-time member replacement for Glenn Campbell, Bruce Johnston. The rest of the guys are great, but they asre not " The Beach Boys". Mike licenses the name from Brother Records. This is nothing against Mike or the rest of these great guys at all, but they are not Brian, Carl, Dennis or Al. What they have is 1/5 of The REAL Beach Boys. Good Vibes to you, but this is the truth.

  • without Mike Love, it wouldn't be the Beach Boys and Bruce took Brian's spot actually, and since Carl and Dennis are gone, it's just Brian and Al that are left, but they are still the Beach Boys, but yeah I would like to see Brian and Al on stage with Bruce and Mike, that would be awesome

  • Yep. It would be cool to see all living Beach Boys on stage, but I doubt that's going to happen. so now we have one original Beach Boys, Bruce, who took Glen Campbell's place who took Brian's place, and some talented side guys.

  • the music sounds the same though, to me you can hardly tell that they sound different.

  • the music sounds good, don't get me wrong. It's just that I sw the original group (or with Bruce that is) over 100 times, and I pretty much memorized all their stuff 'cause i love them so much. Do I miss Crl singing Carl's part, Al singing his part, etc. It's good and I respect them, but it's not the same.

  • actually Bruce took Glenn Campbell's place. He was the first to sit in for Brian for 6 months on the road. Ask Johnston

  • Need McGuinn
