Love this tune would load either this robocop or IK+ just to hear this tune.Absolutly amazing and reminds me of the 6 weeks summer holidays when me my commodore, tape deck, games and my trusty pal the ZIPstick were the best buddies ever. Total respect.
Oh my fucking god! Its been a VERY long time since hearing this tune...jeez..im honestly feeling very nostalgic right now..absolutely incredible what one piece of music does to you and the memories it holds..top man for posting..thanks!!
This is the Ocean Loader 5 tune and it was also used in loads of other C64 games! I've uploaded all these 5 OL themes. There were only a very few Ocean games that had their own unique loaders...
It just us watching this how much we have improved since these day's in the 80's I mean the nintendo ds & DSI is capable of emulating C64 games without problems.
It's not actually Rainbow Island's loader theme as this tune was perhaps the last version of the music that was used in several different Ocean's games. The first three versions were composed by Martin Galway and the last two were by Jonathan Dunn. I don't know if you knew that already, but it would be interesting to know if there was a tune made just for the loader screen for this game.
Such amazing stuff for just 64K memory at that time with just almost a handfull of colours and weaker than weak proccessing power they really had to come up with some Uber ideas and games !
Ships cross the ocean faster these days, but the old Galleons still have class. Same with the C64.

Well the commodore 64 did only have a 1mhz processor. The DS has much faster!

Good video anyways!

I was aware of that fact. I named it Rainbow Island's loader theme as the version playing was used for the loader of Rainbow Island.
There is the main game music which I might get around to uploading.
