I can't believe it! However I am a little bit proud of myself for making the connection all by myself! I heard Lifeline in the mall and I was like, "Ugh, this guy sounds like nickleback, wait... This sounds fimiliar!" My friend and I both like Keane, and after about 5 minutes I finally figured it out! Everbody's Changing and LifeLine! But I am glad some people made the connection, I wonder was happens when this reaches keane...

I've heard both songs and to be honest... they're both pretty awesome to me. I can listen to both Keane and Papa Roach any day and listen to Lifeline and then Everybody's Changing right after it. Both bands are great, and depending on what mood I'm in, I can totally appreciate both styles of music. Whether Papa Roach ripped it or not, or without acknowledging Keane's influence, I think it's safe to say that the melody seems to suit well for both songs.

I tend not to blame artists in cases like this. As a songwriter, I've accidentally duplicated a riff and chord progression only to realize later that I had in fact just drawn it out of distant memory.
