Actually if you look closely thats not a U.S. Navy ship its actually a USSN ship a converted military supply ship to a civilian supply ship. Same thing but ran by civilians. I was on the USS Sacramento AOE-1, the very first supply ship of its kind and the last one in commission before its decommission. Shit does happen but thats why the military trains us to account for those fuck ups. No one is perfect and shit happens

My friend who was in the Navy told me a story about while taking on fuel from an oiler. His ship had a boiler explosion and basically the oiler carrying every imaginable fuel , broke away (to avoid any fire danger ofcourse) from the replenishment while the cable and hoses were still attached . The cable stretched and snapped barely missing his head!! Yup, S*** happens on ships ,be aware of your surrounding and learn how to jump he told me.

this stuff happens all the time. I was on FFG30 and someone forgot to close the butterfly valve between the two FWD refuelling points. once the tank was full, fuel was pissing out the other bellmouth on the other side of the ship!

Accident= an unplanned event! Like when we pumped 100,000 gallons of JP5 into one of our DFM tanks. Never seen the CHENG so madd before...lol! Our alignment was correct, it was the supply ships mistake.

we did an unrep ontime and some one forgot to open one of the intake valves, and the jp5 line busted and got fuel in everyones eyes. that shit burns. they made the engineers clean the shit off the deck instead of 1st lt. i was lucky enough to be an engineer .
