  • Woah! How did this become a top comment??

  • @Ipang69 obviously you don't know much about cooking what you're probably talking about is flambéing and they don't use water at all it's alcohol that burns off in the pan that's why it's on fire

  • People in my country always do this to cook some special chinese food. And of course they didn't do it inside a room. It proved that just a few numbers of people knew this technique. You guys should watch God of Cookery :)

  • Well, what happens when men are cooking is known. Here we see what happens if firemen are cooking :o

  • @Trickyzack u said fire like a 3rd grader lol jk jk

  • deep fry a hole justin bieber

  • @IceDragon45454545: Oil doesn't need to come in contact with a flame to ignite. The hot coil of an electric stove can ignite it, and if oil gets hot enough it can ignite in a pan without ever coming in direct contact with an ignition source.

  • is that cooking oil???

  • So what if it is an electric stove?

  • @IceDragon45454545 electric stoves still ignites oil

  • No... If you're cooking something with grease or oil and it catches on fire, and you put water on it this it what happens (or most likely will) the best thing to do is to cut off the oxygen (puting a lid over it) to starve the fire, turn off the heat to stop it from getting any hotter then calling the fire department to help make sure everything is alright

  • Water and oil combined cause fire? I thought that it just forms in layers right in the water.

  • the real bad side of that is the cholesterol

  • Fire is so beautiful.

  • "And remember NEVER, EVER deep fry a whole frozen turkey. "

  • I'm thinking that they copied MythBusters...

  • @Kilen81 you havennt been to the texas state fair we have pretty much deep fried every food possible

  • @xmonsterwithinx you got deep fried chocolate? :)

  • @Kilen81 I tried that on thanksgiving once.

  • @Kilen81 We usually only do that on Thanksgiving, preparing feasts.

Some people turn it into competitions to cook the entire turkey in the most efficient way possible.

The problem is while the pot is heating up with the turkey in it, at cooking temprature, it'll suddenly heat up a LOT when all the ice crystals have melted. You HAVE to have someone constantly watching the pot, because if the gas/heat isn't turned down, it'll continue to climb until it hits the point that the oil catches fire.

  • @Kilen81 I never heard of it until a few years ago. It's pretty common in some areas.

  • @Kilen81 You can come over and have some anytime you want. pretty good stuff. best eaten witch friends and family

  • i got hungry when i saw it =O
