David may do and play his own music any way he likes. What we are hearing is from critics who never got it anyway. Just stay on the tour bus and listen to the driver pointing out the hippies don't pretend to be one. Drop the first hit before you pretend to take another.
Listen, all you low-class bums bad mouthing this fine organization called Quicksilver Messenger Service. Take a good look around, there are many other bitter pills to swallow, this is not one of them. Instead of complaining, we need to organize a online petition to Frieberg and Duncan encouraging them return to a Fillmore-era, acid-rock and jazz sound. I understand they are playing it safe, but these guys should be selling out The Fillmore with the jam-band and jazz-fusion crowds.
@bobbycoltrane maybe they just don't have their heart in the music any longer......im just taking a guess.....but if thety ever decide i'd luv to play bass with them!!!!!!!!!!!
Why would anyone comment in such a way towards Duncan and Freiberg and those who assisted them on the day that they provided this performance.
These men, the possessors of such awesome spirit and creativity, shine like stars in comparison to a barely discernable flame of their critics. The quality of that which was flowed from QMS set them above their contemporaries and above all critics.
@123zannoz thank you none of us are that young anymore. David may do and play his own music any way he likes. What we are hearing is from critics who never got it anyway. Just stay on the tour bus and listen to the driver pointing out us hippies don't pretend to be one of us. Drop the first hit before you pretend to take another.
What's wrong with this is the audio, not the band. There is some kind of weird delay or something that is most prominent on the drums. If the audio was of good quality, it would give one a better idea of the quality of the band. And I don't see anything wrong with David Freiberg and Gary Duncan keeping the flame burning. They were original Quicksilver members after all.
Not QMS one of the greatest bands ever.I love J.Cippolina and no way this music can live without him. A shame for DF if you ask me...it's just for the money .
Gary Duncan-amidst the smoke-filled riot of The Scene Club-1968? I saw you walk by with Dino-never far-in the dark and noise and you were the prettiest little baby boy that ever walked though that door...the kindest brown eyes-the angel from the Coast-fly!
How can they call themselves Quicksilver Messenger Service. David Freiberg cannot sing. He along with others already ruined Jefferson Starship current touring band another disgrace.
2008 - 40 years later and these guys have the guts to get up and do it again. Walk in their shoes people. A legacy band from SF - a legacy song - and they get up and do it.
Thank you Quicksilver - thanks - again 40 years later in 2008.
Gary Duncans leads are awful here.....it's as if he can barely play. Aren't you supposed to get better with time? Davids voice is serviceable (as always) but lacks the abrasiveness of Dinos voice, which actually makes the song work. The drums were fucked up by the soundman......and the keyboardest needs an electric organ or old grande piano, because it's artiifical sounding. The bass player sounds ok though.............
sometimes, when there is hardly any tomato sauce left u may add water, three teespoons of paprica and some salt.......by the time your pour it over your spaghettis no one will notice.
Wow! Who is that hot bass player?? And, he sure can ROCK!!!(Actually, that's my honey! ;o) ALL OF THESE MUSICIANS ARE AMAZING!!-and truly nice, down to earth people, too.
thats David Freiberg singing, one of the originals - he currently tours with Jefferson Starship.

Freiberg and Duncan wrote many of the songs that QSM fans enjoy.
Sounds like alot of people are commenting and know nothing about QSM.

That isn't Quicksilver. It's a bogus version of the band. Quicksilver without John Cippolina is like the Grateful Dead without Jerry Garcia.

the drummers actually awesome.......the problem is that he has tons of echo on his drums making it sound really abnoxious.

@Girtaar It's an echo, not his fault. Give a drummer a break. Peace.
