gawletap mate love your videos but is there something wrong with your sound quality buddy or is it just me? always have to turn it up just that little bit more on your videos. any how love the work old mate keep it up!
My biggest catch was 42 crawfish most of them were under an inch though and i got 20$ out of an easy stream anyways whats the most everyone else has caght in a day? I love catcheing and eating them or boiling them thats why i ask =)
Great video and i love the music, we go after the Yabbys in Australia when i am visiting the inlaws, we just take out the vein the same way and twist the entire lower body off, then its in the pan with butter and garlic. I will try this how ever with the nettle's i think i will add a little cream and garlic to those also.
Ate a lot of those "mud bugs" growing up on the farm in Mississippi USA. Caught them with bacon tied to a string or by hand carefully.
The meat is delicate and white when cooked.
With an average campfire, takes about twenty to thirty minutes to slowly cook till done. When raw, you can cut off the head and peel the tail and saute the flesh in a margarine with a little salt and pepper or simply coat the peeled tail muscle with cornmeal and fry them. In a large pot, toss in whole and boil.
You can make a great trap for them out of 3 liter bottles. Bait it and just check the next day. A couple of these traps and you can eat well. Crawfish is Great meat too. Its one of the best and easyist to catch for me and my area. 3-4 traps well placed can feed me for a good day.
That dog looks really interested.

survivalfreek 7 months ago
He said those crawfish where an invasive species from america.
I would give my right testical to catch crawfish that size in Pennsylvania.
We use to catch them in PA that size about 40 years ago.
The largest crawfish are about 3 inches now.
Nothing like a big pot of fresh water lobster and COLD beer.
