  • the chorus where the drummer does that wild change throws me off every time.

  • SO good.

  • glassjaw kills. always and forever. fact.

  • I had all but given up hope of ever hearing a new glassJAw song, but they came back with a vengeance!!!!!

  • sounds like fart

  • @TheV140 You're a fart

  • Tight!

  • ummm bit too many mistakes....

  • what the fuck!!!">

  • its great nothing more to say or t t t t tt t t t t type.

  • Do you have the whole set?

  • I love this fucking song!

  • siempre me ha encantado el el flow del guitarro! tiene mucho soul! y no nada mejor que glassjaw, period.

  • watch?v=I4ZT8kVbVFc&feature=feedlik EL MARK

  • the drummer is a machine >.<

  • still killin' it with just one guitarist!

  • I give props to the guitarist cause that tapping takes skill to keep it in beat but the drums do seem a little off...and not in a "creative" way as some drummers might play...just off....

  • @MrMacGrungy the drums cant be off, they should be going off of the drummer and not anyone else

  • @stradscreamer74 Well then let me rephrase. The drums have a different rhythm on the recording during the chorus, and it complimented the way that Daryl sang. In this version BECAUSE the drummer is play a different beat during the chorus, daryl sounds off. How's that?

  • @MrMacGrungy I'm pretty he plays that part in the chorus weird on both recordings, its just a weird chorus

  • @MrMacGrungy I agree. weird

  • @MrMacGrungy if the drums sound off in the chorus it's because the hi-hats are too loud, it gives the syncopation too much of an emphasis, and normally in the studio the hi-hat is killed down, in fact some recording studios have a hi-hat mic just to cancel it out of the overheads, because of this problem

  • @acheong87 and especially in 6/8 time, emphasizing 2/4/6 can sound confusing

  • @acheong87 That makes sense.......either way......I've grown accustomed to it now :D It has become my favorite version of it.

  • @acheong87 As I said before though, the hi-hats are played 1, 3, and 5 for the first phrase and switch to 2, 4, and 6 for the last 3 phrases. Here, it's all 2, 4, and 6. So that's the reason it feels so weird. It's odd to go into the 2, 4, and 6 without actually doing the 1, 3, and 5 first.

  • hoooooly shit mutherfuckers

  • 'm I the only one dancing to the arpeggio?

  • who gives a fuck what "hi hat" he hits and when, this is fucking raw as fuck and fucking sick! Just appreciate that gj are back with new material!

  • @pinkcellphone Too right, its their song so they can do whatever the fuck they want with it

  • All of them are pretty amazing musicians the chemistry of this band is great.

  • justin beck is god!!!

    CARDBOARD CITY!!!!!

  • i like this song but the drums kinda throw me off

  • i like what the drummer does but he should occasionally throw a heavier slow downbeat in there somewhere

  • this is a rough take at it but its still fockin GREAT! glassjaw kicks arse!

  • omg that chorus sounds horrible. why would he play it like that?

  • I don't know why the drummer never plays the chorus right.

  • @blackdakhma ill say, he is playing what i hear on the "studio" version here on youtube...

    hi hats on 2, 4, 6 of a 6 beat measure

  • @sonofnothing Nope. For the first set, the hi hat and snare never coincide according to the studio version, then for the next three they do. He plays them simultaneously consistently here.

  • @blackdakhma hi hats on 2, 4, 6 of a 6 beat measure... listen

  • @sonofnothing Do you play drums? If you did, you'd feel the difference just playing along to the studio chorus. Hi hats aren't with the snare for the first "When the medicine you fancy has all run out..." Yet with the rest of the chorus, hi hats and snare go together.

  • @blackdakhma im 26, got my first toy kit at age 4, first snare at age 8 and first pearl export at 11... yes i play drums.

  • Comment removed

  • @blackdakhma yep. totally agree. the change is so subtle when the hi hat does line up with the snare later on in the chorus. But the hi hat part IS on the offbeat of the snare for the first 4 bars of the chorus. At least on the studio recording. But, on this live take, he hits the hi hats on 2,4,and 6 like 'sonofnothing' says. i play drums too. sorry for intruding on your guys' argument.

  • @puppetuh Finally, some support. In studio he hits the hi hats on 1, 3, and 5 for the "When the medicine you fancy has all run out..." bit, but then changes to 2, 4, and 6, for the rest. Here, it's all 2, 4, and 6.

  • love gj....but is it just me or is palumbo reading the lyrics hah...

  • Seeing them in Phoenix in FEB!!!!!

  • sephiroth671 is SHIT!!!!!!!!!!

  • the begin was a bit off, but once they settle in this is a fantastic version

  • all shitty bands go to heaven
