OP, thanks for proving I'm not crazy. I recalled such a mix from the jukebox in the student union at Purdue University from the mid '80s and could never verify its existence. The haunting extended intro was etched in my rapidly diminishing brain cells for the last 20+ years....now I know it really existed. Now if someone could just convince me that Cutting Crews "Just Died in Your Arms Tonight" was a figment of my imagination, I'll die a happy man.

Thanks for posting this mix! This song has always captured my heart and this is a really soulful mix. Peter Gabriel has such a powerful, sexy, raspy voice ~ and it really grabs you in this song ~ with all its gorgeous lyrics. I don't know of any other modern day singer that can fuse world music with rock into such a beautiful amalgamation of sound better than he. This song was a presage of other amazing works to come, including the Passion album. Pure brilliance.

I think this was originally put out as an LP single. Unfortunately the copy I had was left in a place were the sun warped it (years ago) but I think what you're listening to is Side 2 of that LP. Probably one of the most memorable songs I'll ever hear in my lifetime (regardless of the version/mix) It will be with me always. -bjensen
