I had burning alcohol on my hand and blew it on my burning hand - proper was meaning that compared to my previous try's it was working out better (for me)
Improper is swallowing gasoline and stuff which obviously destroys your health.

I don't think there can be a safe fire spit - there always can go something wrong either for you, your cloth or beard or bystanders.
