@d5rmantis He says "Now that I found 2NE1" not meaning, he was the first to discover them, but meaning, he "found" them as in, he did not know about them until recently.
"Now that I found 2NE1??" This tool acts like he discovered them. Why do Americans always have to grab already established international artists, and then dilute them with their American music industry mediocrity? Just leave them alone and let them do what they do. No need to turn them into your new Black Eyed Peas spin-off project with the one difference of their Korean cachet.
@d5rmantis in terms of originality of music = yes , i totally agree wid ya but for international marketing for 2NE1's global market expansion, this guy would be better than any other kpop producers as of today.
@d5rmantis your dumb im guessing your not korean plus 2ne1 choose to the US if they didnt want to try to debut internationally they would respectively declined .when he said "He found" them he didnt he mean he created them since i found 2ne1 too you found 2ne1 that how we got into their music and so did he, unless you are 2ne1 you dont get to decide wether or not they should debut in the US
@khat31able No, I'm not Korean, but that's hardly relevant. I have been listening to Korean music for the last twelve years, so I like to think I know what I'm talking about when it comes to K-Pop. As far as 2NE1, it's not as if they suddenly chose to debut in the US. They were contacted by will.i.am. It is so typical for an American producer to adopt a culture that they do not understand, present it to the US market, and take credit for it, kind of like what Gwen Stefani did with Japan.
@d5rmantis HE found them.. as in he personally found out they existed.. hes not saying "i doscovered them" hes just saying.. I learned about them and I think they are cool
@d5rmantis he didnt use the word "found" as "discovered". and what is wrong with him helping them to be global superstars. besides being in BEP he is a big producer and can create a huge opportunity for them unlike any Korean producer. how do you know its not what they want? do you think they are not interested in being famous worldwide and in cooperating with huge stars. they seem pretty enthusiastic about it anyway. he did not terrorised them into it...
@d5rmantis Now that found 2NE1, means he just found there music. he's helping them because 2NE1 is good but not in American standards. us Americans judge fast so if we do not like the beat and stuff bye bye your done. Will'i'am is in like the most famous group so having a honor like is huge. he's group have there own game!
@xXfayboy19Xx I have to disagree with you there. Last year 2NE1 performed live to a crowd of screaming fans in New York City at MTV Studios where they won the title of "Best New Band in the World". They achieved this based on music that has been produced by their own Korean producers. So these arguments stating that their music as it exists now - devoid of will.i.am's allegedly immense talent - is not up to American standards, well they just don't hold water.
I used to have respect for Will.i.am. but now he just sounds like an ass. doushe
