Pantera definatly wins on the vocals.

I think it's a bit like this: Pantera has about 25 songs I fucking LOVE for fucking 100%. Megadeth has about 50 songs I fucking LOVE for 90%.

Pantera slightly more awesome, Megadeth more material almost as awesome.

Makes them equal to me.

They are both great bands, Pantera had a better vocalist and more powerful sounding tones. But Megadeth has better rhythm segments. Dime is a better lead guitarist than Mustaine, but Mustaine is a better rhythm guitarist than Dime.

Its all a matter of opinion so don't hate on either one. Note that all of Megadeth's lead guitarist played circles around Mustaine.

It's not really fair to say that Megadeth is a better band than Pantera, we should respect the fact that Megadeth had several different members over the years. I think Dimebag was better than any of Megadeth's guitarists except for Friedman, and Vinnie is a pretty badass drummer, I mean Dimebag auditioned for Megadeth and got the job, he didn't do it because Dave would'nt let Vinny join too.
