I think it was from an old poster that said "This is the place to afix the stamp" and it was urging people to refuse to abide by the Stamp Act. Now that I look at it, you can see "This is" written on the left side going upward so that must be it..

this movie is great but the book dipcts more BUT still very good because it talks about our history and what happened before we got our Independence
