I DONT KNOW HIM PERSONALY BUT JOHN IS ALLWAYS A NICE GUY WHEN I SEE HIM...THE BOLINS WERE RAISED RIGHT....THEY DID AND STILL DO OUR HOME TOWN PROUD IN MY OPINION
Wow! Tks for sharing this! I wish I had that guitar! It's precious as everything related lo Tommy! His brother looks so nice and humble! I wish I could meet him!
Is there a song called elexsis? Or somthing? Can someone please give me the link if possible, theres another one ballad off a james gang album he might sing on that sounds like elexsis but better..No country sounds but the real pretty stuff..Not this trendy shit i keep seeing on you tube..The shit that woman cut an arm off for. Its so bad ass.
i hope you are getting better JOHNNIE. hope to see you soon at sweden rock festival in B O A again. with love from SWEDEN and NORWAY. And by the way, The sound on the Whips and roses are great.
I went to Johnnie's house about 15 years ago and saw Tommy's round or heart shaped bed and some other items. I also remember what a cool guy Johnnie is. I vaguely remember that Johnnie told me he did not own any of Tommy's original guitars.
Hey Johnny, I have a picture of you with George Gomez and Rob Burr at the mansion on Bayshore Drive in Coconut Grove when you used to play drums with the band,"Espresso". Roberto Pinion on bass, John on keyboards and guitar and George Gomez on lead guitar and vocals. Remember "The Jamestown Club", Bill Szymczyk, Buddy Thornton, etc. at "Bayshore Recording Studios"? What a blast from the past...
Tommy Bolin was a great guitar player but also good songwriter an singer.I lisetn his records qiet offen.Tommy was dead an gone but music staying alive.
Beautiful guitar. The Ultimate was a great compilation. The Tommy Bolin Archives label put out a lot of Tommy stuff on CD--I always loved the live recordings!
Tommy Bolins flame burned too hot and too fast, he might be gone, but he will NEVER be forgotten. One of the greats. A guitar God for the ages.

Last Jan I had the pleasure of meeting Johnnie
at the Dean booth, I was knocked out by the
guitar, but scared when I looled in Johnnies
eyes, for a second Tommy was there..Stu Man

Its so nice that Tommy got a tribute guitar. No one deserves it more.
BUT:
WHY DEAN GUITARS?
WHY NOT A BRAND WHAT TOMMY PLAYED LIKE FENDER OR GIBSON????
