Unfortunately I live here and have to pay £1500 a year for the benefit of a million people that are only here for a couple of days. The place is a toilet through and through, if only our American friends could have a word with their airforce and sort the place out once and for all. Please tell me if you can arrange this then know to go to Preston that day!
It dont look like this bad now, I went a couple of weeks ago and they have put new steps in going down to the beach, its all dug up because they aqre improving it to the 21st century but it looks amazing now and the sea isnt as dirty in the video now, its still dirty, just not AS dirty ;)
I'm from Blackpool and was sorry to hear americanbigmouths and his daughter found it was not their cup of tea. They sound like such nice people. Here's hoping that on their next visit they might see a side of town that suits them. Perhaps a tour of the sewage plant.

blackpool its a shit hole now i went 4 months ago with my daughter very disapointed there was sick in a number of places along the sea front rubbish property that looks like something from the 3rd world lol its a scruffy run down tacky place horrible it wants closing down for a year and revamped totally no offence to the people who live there
fantastic vid... just got back today from Blackpool.. visited the ballroom for the first time ever during my visit... I have to admit, I sat on the upper balcony with tears rolling down my face.... it was trully breathtaking. thanks for sharing

it has been totally revamped , sea front is much bigger and cleaner and pleasure beach is getting revamped over this year =)
