  • christians always dance around the fact that they are wrong. Some just do it more intelligently.

  • "You no longer believe in god"

Unless Dawkins was ever a theist, that sentence is just wrong.

*Everyone* is born atheist. No one is born with a belief in anything.

So unless you became theist at some point (for many, in early childhood), then it is "you never believed in a god", rather than "you no longer believe in god".

  • 6:40 Embarassing really. Evidence for god is complexity. I guess some people haven't read "The Blind Watchmaker".

  • 2:10 the look on Pat Kenny's face: "what the fuck are you on about?"

  • cant wait til world war three, and science and reason will rise from the ashes to create a world where petty differences of religion or race don't happen. !8 year old atheist.

    Zeitgeist

    9/11 was an inside job

    Obama 2012

  • 2:04 That guy kinda makes me ashamed to be a Biochem undergrad... >.>

  • ha fuck man, just keep believing in god, we will see in a couple hundred years lol atheists will be laughing

  • There is something I don't understand. Therefore there must be a god! Makes sense. I mean, we humans are so bloody perfect, aren't we? :P

  • "As a scientist I see design in the universe" BUZZZZ... WRONG see Darwin for details.

  • Shut up Chewbacca. Richard Dawkins was not condescending or rude to anybody he was just explaining himself. On the contrary, Chewbacca went to ad-hominem attack straight away with the oil-painting analogy.

  • @huwrj LLOLOLOL laughed so hard.

  • Do some people really have nothing else of value to them in life other than their faith?

  • I like Richard Dawkins. He valiantly struggles against the ceaseless, powerful tide of ignorance. It's like watching Rambo taking on a small army.

  • You can measure how somebody loves you, if you show a picture of the person you truly love under a brain scan a huge amount of activity is seen it certain parts.

  • 5:27 finally an intelligent ticker message

  • that scientist is an embarrassment to his profession. that is not evidence sir

  • Wow, what moronic comments scrolling on the bottom of the screen ! The happiest and healthiest countries in the world are secular nations

  • Science can EASILY explain human morality. This guy around 7:00 is no scientist.

  • People have no concept on what evidence means...

  • that guy near the end may be a scientist but hes also a dumbass.

  • check out Kenny's gawp at 2:10 when the audience member is waffling on... classic

  • There is a higher percentage of religious people in jail than atheists. So your point is proven.

Maybe 'Dave' who wrote that message should checks his facts first.

  • get to the point weasley

  • dawkins opponent keeps sucking his dick and saying how much he agrees with him!!!

shouldn't they get two more polarised views for a debate...

    the guy's a fuckin wuss

  • The comments on the bottom of the video are hilarious. I also love how every time a Religious person is asked to provide evidence that God exists, they just stumble and stagger to the God ot the gaps theory. 'The Universe is so amazing, and I can't picture any other way things worked out this way so it must be God'

  • False hope is worst then nothing.

  • How can a scientist honestly say that the complexity of the world is tangible proof of the existence of a god?

  • The beardie can also claim to know what his god is thinking. Delusional.

  • @2wilburc beardie's just bitter. dawkins is famous while beardie's still stuck in the same town he was born in scooping irish cow shit to earn a crust.

  • Religion excited us as much as science? How confused is he?

  • The text at the bottom of the screen is just infuriating to read, everyones intitled to believe whatever they so wish, but dont make yourself sound like an uneducated moron by sending your opinions into a television show for the world to see.

  • @EvalinaxCullen They are people who want God to be the answer, rather than people like myself who want to know the truth.

  • It looks like dawkins was describing God when asked about the big bang theory, he is deluded.

  • I feel sorry for my hopeless country reading those texts, the ignorance and completely gullible people of Ireland

  • Saying that disbelief makes life empty is false, it gives me a reason to enjoy life NOW. Rather than wasting it at this moment, waiting for something that doesn't come later :)

Saying i don't have morals, because i'm an atheist is also false. So becuase i don't belive in a deity, i will go out to rape, murder and eat humans? :/ get your head out of your a** =)

  • @AndersAuestad Read the Bible and notice how much of it is no longer part of the Religious persons morals. That is because our morals evolved over time. If you are a good person because God says so and you will be punished you are not a good person, you are a selfish person, a phony. People like us who are good because we just want to be, are real.

  • bearded retard

  • I really hope the bearded man isn't free to walk the streets, what a dangerous lunatic!

  • why are all the christians in the crowd irish?

  • @TheAidenFace Maybe it was recorded in Ireland?

  • @publicanimal9 yeah i realised that later on

  • Who the hell is that red-headed guy in the audience, how stupid.

  • I think they guy who calls Dawkins condescending is actually Jesus.

  • The religious guy debating Richard Dawkins does appear to be intelligent and looks at religion in a philosophical way. However I think that all of his questions to Dawkins could be answered if he had more knowledge of science. It is evident from his responses that he lacks an in depth knowledge of basic fundamentals of the big bang theory etc.

  • I like the host. He seems very impartial although religious.

  • Shite that is funny. Richard Dawkins, Oxford Professor, debating with another bloke (sorry I missed his name in the first part of this) who is clearly intelligent and a deep thinker on this subject, being crashed all over by a bloody great blue text script with babblings by people we know absolutely nothing about. Unless Dave, Sue and Gerry are so famous in Ireland they are known by their first names. LOL

  • The writing at the bottom of the screen is shocking beyond belief. Foolish as hell.

  • I gave up at the guy calling Dawkins condescending. Dawkins basically say he does not yet know the answers to the big questions and they are seeking these answers but states there is no evidence for God and the bible etc simpler do not stand up to scrutiny. The religious people are saying they have all the answers and if you do not agree you are going to burn forever for it. Which is the more condescending and destructive stance.

  • Alright mate, we don't want your life story.

  • 5:30 - "You don't need God to make you good" EXACTLY!

  • The texts scrolling across the bottom of the screen make me ashamed to be Irish.

  • @tombobadillo I wouldn't worry, you get those people everywhere. I suspect most of them are texting to reassure themselves in their faith more than anything. Just convincing themselves more than anything.

  • @RevNTheogen repeated myself there, sorry.

  • @RevNTheogen You sir have just won one internets for being a nce person in your reply :D

  • @tombobadillo LOL yeah like religion isn't the fault of the civil war going on in ireland...

  • this is all nonsense not one of them can provide evidence for god, there are many religious theists who are scientists. Dawkins is just one man part of a new spring of atheists which i think is important. I'm not an atheist, but religion imposes its values into society through various outlets, politics, economics, education and anywhere else it can. Dawkins fucks things up when he attacks something that is supposedly non-existant.

  • wow @ 0:15 the blue message on the bottom reads, "maybe if more people believed in god there wouldnt be so much crime and MURDER in the world"

which is just so funny because religion does exactly that.

  • @samsonmathew7000

Oi...don't you be contradicting Dave. (whoever the phuck he is)

  • @samsonmathew7000

I'd be interested to see the statistics regarding the faith choices of prison populations. I would say that a small number of them are atheist.

  • @samsonmathew7000 And just look at Northern Ireland... Could it really do with more god-believers?

  • @samsonmathew7000 the majority of prisoners in the USA and UK has a religion and belief gods.

  • @samsonmathew7000 Do you really believe that? how about Mao and Stalin? atheism kills more people and its been proven, the 1st Atheist group started in france killing 250,000 people that didnt fit there design of life...

  • @Eire32FukDaBrits

you're an idiot. No one goes and kills in the name of atheism. Atheism is simple not believing in a god. You're an atheist with respect to Zeus.... If you killed someone does that make atheists (based on ur action) killers? my point is, religions actually make people do things in the name of the religion...for example stoning someone who works on sabbath day according to the bible. If I'm an atheist ( i don't believe in any god), and I kill someone, that is MY fault.

  • @Eire32FukDaBrits Please provide evidence to support your claim that atheism had anything to do with Mao and Stalin killing millions.

  • @Eire32FukDaBrits in communist Russia and china and in north Korea now there are gods, Stalin, Mao and the Kim's.

They were the top, they were put on that pedestal, everything that was done was done in their name, look at the things being said about kim jong-il or kim jong-un now. they are portrayed as gods with their own creation myths, we see them as absurd the N.Koreans see them as gospel.

fanaticism and worship kill not necessarily religion but religion fosters fanaticism and worship.

  • @Eire32FukDaBrits Atheists are the least represented group in prisons per capita, with the exception of mormons. And you're frankly wrong regarding atheism killing more people. Period. Mao and Stalin were atheists, true. But only because they worshipped themselves, and so did their countries. It wasn't atheism like myself or Dawkins support, but rather they had an apotheosis about themselves.

  • Why do so many Apologists stutter so much? Is it because, deep down, they know they're lying?

  • Lol at the comments going across the bottom... Idiots...

  • christian asks how did life begin if no god

explain there was dinosaurs before humans - which are around the same size or bigger, breathe air and eat trees and meat

    thus SIMPLY answering the question..

  • Why ask an Evolutionary Biologist about Physics. About the big bang It makes no difference to evolution and its irrefutable proofs and evidence.

My children probably find me condescending but when you know so much more you probably would seem condescending. Wanting Faith to be something it is not, will not make more than just faith.

The death of a child, religion gives you comfort and an explination, yet still that does not prove a god, it supports self delusion to help cope and excuse.

  • My wife travelled a lot when younger. She went to Ireland spent some time there.

We spoke about it recently with the uncovering of the pedophile network and churches cover ups. I had my atheist views on the religious hate, intolerance and killing that have gone on forever. She said in her travels they were the most fucked up people she had come across, why I asked do you think RELIGION was the answer, of course so much child abuse and hypocrisy would not have been much help.

  • wtf 2.00 chuck norris?

  • I wish I could say that I'm surprised that so many Irish people are so closed minded. Although this is an older segment of the Late Late Show. Maybe things have progressed since then. I know myself though that there are just tons of people here who absolutely shudder at the idea of a non-belief in the existence of a deity, they can't even think about it. Where's I actually shudder at the idea of believing in something so random which holds absolutely no evidence of existence.

  • I feel like strangling the guy calling himself a scientist.

  • In fact as this goes on it just becomes increasingly hysterical that these idiots believe what they do. This infuriated glazed moronic look washes across their face as they repeat with increasing fervour the arguments that they have said a million times before

  • The guy sat down next to Dawkins talks in a stuttering unconcise way. he makes no decent point whatsoever. i love Dawkins videos but they get frustrating due to the fact that the people he is talking to just simply don't listen. They repeat themselves incescantly

  • @harryacebrowning "unconcise"?? "incescantly" ?? I find it, not very mind you, but quite frustrating when illiterate idiots spout shite when they are clearly over their heads, and ultimately have no point period, regardless of any sort of decency. YOU are in NO POSITION to call ANYONE a moron. FFS! Can I have your two posts with a big dose of irony please?

  • @Teddybhoy32 Listen, first of all you clearly need to calm down. Your hysterical outbursts are reminiscent of many religious people. What i said very clearly in my last post was that there was no structured or relevant point made against anything Richard Dawkins had said. As i also said the people have worried, glazed and moronic looks on their faces due to the fact that they have no idea what to say next, their points have been so concisely and clearly put to the sword.

  • @harryacebrowning For you to claim i have no right to label these people as 'morons' is indicative of religion as a whole, you just can't fathom people holding differing opinions to that of yourself. I wouldn't get so wound up by some posts on a youtube video anyway, you can live your life blissfully unaware and continue to believe in God regardless of what anyone says.

  • @harryacebrowning Why should you be quite so furious that somebody else is explaining something different to what you believe anyway. Is it maybe due to the fact that your an indoctrinated, neurotic fantasist?

  • @harryacebrowning You are that hyped up you are resorting to talking to yourself! But I'm the "furious" one who needs to calm down? Very good! You are digging yourself deeper with each post. You're a paranoid mess.

  • @harryacebrowning "Listen, first of all you clearly need to calm down" oh dear! That tact maybe worked 15 years ago-you need to do better than that! Considering you said you were frustrated and I slightly frustrated, then isn't it more appropriate you are the one to calm down? That is the more logical conclusion than your nonsense. Weak. "Your hysterical outbursts are reminiscent of many religious people." And again, oh dear! i represent myself only, just like you. cont...

  • @Teddybhoy32 I would love to actually meet you and explain to you how stupid you make yourself look by commenting on the minutia of language rather than accepting the fact that God doesn't exist

  • @harryacebrowning How stupid I make myself - really? I'm afraid the stupidity title went to you days ago with your infantile, illogical outburst. You made an arse of yourself. Accept it, and at least try to salvage a smidgen of dignity.

  • @harryacebrowning Go get 'em Harry mate!

  • Was that Chuck Norris?

  • THE CELESTIAL TEAPOT IS REAL!!!!! *Trollface*

  • Again, these captions are appalling. People are so dumb that they feel the need to make superfluous arguments against atheism.

  • Richard, my hero...

    Brilliant, as usual!

  • @Cacacos actually science requires a leap of faith based on pure speculation and imagination...Christians believe in the beginning "God"...dawkins believes in the beginning "a small condensed dot of all matter"..both dont really have any explanation but one is called science and one is called religion/leap of faith...I would argue that both theories are forms of faith.

    watch at times 4:08 onward

    /watch?v=ZUs0BWjL3ec&feature=BFa&list=HL1322654704&lf=mh_lolz

  • @malechauvinistxy You misunderstand the scientific point of view completly. We will never, ever ask you for a leap of faith. You are simply presented with the evidence available and asked to interpret the evidence, never, ever leap in fiath to any point. Any speculation is used to determine possible new lines of investigation and how they might best be investigated.

  • @MrGlennatat all we have are fossils for apes and fossils for humans...yet it is assumed that the two species are related?..is this not an example of speculation and a leap of faith?

  • @malechauvinistxy you can make calculated estimations based on the data you have.

thats not a leap of faith. and they're never as ludicrious as saying theres a god.

  • @malechauvinistxy No asssumption - DNA demonstrates we have a common ancestor.

  • @malechauvinistxy yeah but the whole IDEA of a god is crazy.

a fully concious, superintelligent being, all-powerful, omnipotent and immortal.

that is more than a leap of faith. that's the biggest leap of faith any person can ever make, by far.

  • @The1andOnlyCG why?

  • @malechauvinistxy because you're introducing an entirely new medium that does not exist in this reality; the "spiritual" world.

physics and biology can fuck off if one is to believe in god.

omnipotence, infinite mass, immortality, and to cap it all off, fully super-intelligent conciousness. (not to mention he's a total bastard and gets all picky over small ceremonies and rules).

    its just a ludicrous concept.

you heard of the flying spaghetti monster? exactly the same credibility.

  • @malechauvinistxy That's rubbish. If you can show dawkins evidence that the 'small condensed dot of all matter' (which is a gross misrepresentation of the Big Bang theory) is incorrect, then he will amend his views. Religion, on the other hand, is beyond question or disproof, which is why the celestial teapot is every bit as valid as your God in rational terms. .

  • @sionnyn the God "theory" is not deyond question or proof...the bible can be tested..its prophecy and history can be checked...the tares walk the earth today...unclean counterfit humans..all businesses contain the mark of the beast(masonic sybolism)...its impossible to buy and sell..why dont you try selling a dvd or anything and you will be arrested for selling infringing items.

  • @malechauvinistxy

Name one prophacy that wa fulfilled. I suspect like others even early christain writers whom believed prophacies were fulfilled that were not even there, you can not find one.

Go for 5 bet they are debunked and I can show you..

  • @sionnyn even Noahs ark has been found in Turkey(just where the Bible said it would be) and the shroud of Turin proves that Jesus rose from the dead because of the photographic negative.

  • @malechauvinistxy How do you propose that 2 of every single species of animal was able to be carried on a boat for any longer than a week? How would they be fed, how would they drink and how would they be prevented from eating each other. Where did all the vast quantities of water go after the flood? Why isn't the water still here? The shroud of Turin also doesn't prove that anyone rose from the dead, and even if it did theres no way to tell who it was.

  • @malechauvinistxy

The Ark has never been found. Fraudsters like self proclaimed biblical archeologist Rom Wyatt have found it about 5 times. There is in Turkey a offical site for Tourists with thier dollars to go and spend money at. Unfortunatly the shroud is 12th century. A lot of appologists have made untrue claims to explain it away but like all Iconoclasts it is fake.

  • "I'm a scientist and a Christian... *face-palm*

  • @RevelAlliance hahaha

    Exactly how I felt!

  • The guy with the red beard doesn't seem to realise he has been raised by catholic parents in a catholic environment and has in fact been brainwashed. He is a slave.

  • I'm not that smart but smart enough to get by comfortably in this world. It's good to know that even scientists can be stupid enough not to understand that complexity, no matter how improbable, happens over time. Just because they can't visualise the evolution of this complexity they must come to conclusion that a big invisible man in the sky did it. This gives me comfort. I understand certain things that really smart people can't.

  • I love the first rolling text.

"Maybe if more people believed in god there wouldn't be so much crime and murder in the world"

    in general, hilarious rolling texts

  • poor old Richard Dawkins having to take part in debates with these kind of fools...bless him for trying to show what TRUTH IS..

  • This is the best video I've seen in ages! By the way, what's up with the subtitles?

  • @Teddybhoy32 How does Dawkins represent himself as a charlatan. How are his followers the "biggest" fools?

  • @Teddybhoy32 He's one of the most intellectual human beings in the world. You're deluded.

  • @johnnygannerss WOW thanks for that. I'm sure there was a point hiding away in your comment. Hmm?

  • @Teddybhoy32

That's the thing though, we're not following him. We just agree with what he says on the subject of supernatural sky fairies and the like.

  • @rolandsausage Can you lot really not admit you are just devils? Are you not allowed to in order to get more people on side? Is that the deal? Dawkins can't hide from, - the devil is looking right out of him. Fuck that. For all his "achievements", he is a 70 year old infant. Yes slag us us for our beliefs in "sky fairies", but what is the alternative? Acting like Dawkins and Hitchens? Classless idiots who act like playground bullies. If that is more appealing to you, good luck.

  • @Teddybhoy32 one of the worst arguments used by dawkins is when he called his religion(evolution) science and then tries to claim that Christians are agains ttechnological or scientific advancement. Even though Christian scientists have pioneered nearly every branch of science and brought us inventions like ac power, telecommunications, medicine, radar, radio..etc.

Christians are not against science, we are against bad science and fraudulent science taught in textbooks such as evolution.

  • @Teddybhoy32 Dawkins and big bang scientists hide behind one key factor...MILLIONS AND MILLIONS OF YEARS...even though radiometric dating has proven to be unreliable and throw out completely inaccurate results ,by thousands and even millions of years, these scientists still claim their theory to be valid...and their claims become unfalsifiable because we cannot test or measure something that happened thousands or millions of years ago.

  • @malechauvinistxy Hear hear! I'll be verifying and stealing your words for future posts. Imitation is the best form of flattery. :)

  • @Teddybhoy32 playground bullies? they're a damn sight more moralistic than the christian god, who allegedly (in the bible) killed millions of people, including infants, who tortured his "children" in unimaginable ways, who ignores the desperate pleas of millions of starving, diseased, or oppressed people around the world.

    god is worse than hitler

  • @The1andOnlyCG Give me the verses in the bible that substantiate your claims. The world is fucked because God gave us free will and WE have fucked that up. It is a man-made disgrace there is hunger and poverty in the world. That is OUR mess and our doing. "the flying spaghetti monster" that's like saying cowabunga and don't have a cow man. Old hat - you need new patter. Didn't think there was anyone left who still says FSM. Oh well guess some need a catch up.

  • @Teddybhoy32 ok

im gonna introduce to you a theory of mine.

My statement is: "If god exists, EVERYTHING must be totally predetermined; the free will idea doesn't work."

The reason is this: God, having a superintelligent brain, has the capapbility to predict every probability given the input data. And he created the entire universe, so he is aware of all the factors. Therefore he must be able to totally predict the future, therefore any "sin" is predetermined.

(This is a very compact version)

  • @The1andOnlyCG " aware of all the factors" therefore there are different outcomes ie free will. He cannot predict the future if there are options. He can predicts futures, not be the one. How can you have a theory on God and what He can and can't do. Theories tend to have evidence to support, otherwise it's purely conjecture. That is a fundamental flaw right there. "Basic stuff"- what was that complex? I think you need to do better than that. All you have is baseless opinion and guesswork.

  • @Teddybhoy32 no, free will does not exist if god is real.

god supposedly hand-crafted the human brain.

he created the human mind, hormones, human nature etc. Therefore he knows EXACTLY how humans will think, respond, and develop.

so free will is actually a load of crap. christians say "god didn't create us to be robots" but you see, if we were created by a god, we MUST all be robots. custom-made individually, but robots all the same.

  • @The1andOnlyCG " free will does not exist if god is real" That is just a baseless OPINION. Stating something more than once doesn't make it more real. Yes He could calculate every possible sequence, if you like, but by your own words, the sequences are the free will. If there was no free will, it wouldn't be plural. Why is it plural? Because that is were our CHOICES come into play. Choices = free will. Even your own words back up the notion of free will. Output = choices

  • @Teddybhoy32

it's not a baseless opinion! i explained it!

you're missing a key point: god created the human brain down to the smallest detail, therefore he MUST know EVERY choice a human will ever make.

combining this with the fact that he created every detail of the universe, it is fair to say that he is capable of predicting exactly how every human will ever react to anything.

therefore if he KNEW what would happen, everything was predetermined because he CREATED it that way.

  • @The1andOnlyCG You didn't explain anything. You gave your reasons for your opinion but that is hardly the same. You cannot prove anything of what you said. For that you at least need some evidence. That hasn't been the case at all. Even two identical machines can behave in different ways, never mind humans. There ARE people who claim to be devil worshippers. The simple fact is no one knows. Or another way is, no one can scientifically prove or disprove God's existence. You have your opinion

  • @Teddybhoy32 perhaps you're not understanding my explaination.

and yes, i have proved what i have said.

think about it logically: i'll lay out all the basic elements of my theory, one more time. this may cover several comments.

    1) God, according to christians, is infinite. he is infinitely intelligent, infinitely powerful, and timeless.

    2) If god DID create humans, he must have created the human brain/soul/hormones/thinking methods, yes?

  • @The1andOnlyCG "perhaps you're not understanding my explanation" erm no, maybe I just think it was nonsense that's all. " i have proved what i have said" Are you actually serious? Do you want me to take you seriously? In a nutshell you are saying because we have free will is "proof" God doesn't exists because if he did we wouldn't have it. Right? I know think you understand what "proof" means. You admit if Gos exists, He would have a super intelligent brain. Point is how could a human even

  • @Teddybhoy32

    3) IF god is infinitely intelligent, he must be capable of calculating EVERY possible eventuality given the input data. That is an inescapable point. (For argument's sake, think of god as a big calculator in this instance)

    4) Therefore as God created the human brain, he must know EXACTLY how it works, and by his divine intelligence's calculating capability, he must be able to know EXACTLY how it will respond to any kind of inputs (environment, interaction etc).

  • @The1andOnlyCG begin to understand how God works? Why do different people choose differently from each other? "custom-makes"- your words say we are all different, but that "proves" God doesn't exist, right? Have you published your findings yet? Why aren't you famous if you are right? What you have is an evidence free theory, that's all. To claim to "proof" your theory is misplaced arrogance and ultimately stupidity. I think it is YOU who doesn't understand, especially what "proof" means.

  • @Teddybhoy32

let's just back up here. this is not MEANT to be an evidence-based theory. I have yet to find any evidence that God exists, therefore a theory BASED on god is difficult to support with evidence.

For the record, i used to be a christian.

Perhaps i need to clarify some god-criteria with you.

I always understood that christians believe in god as being totally infinite and omnipotent. From that statement alone, it can logically be assumed that he has an infinite brain.

  • @The1andOnlyCG "Perhaps i need to clarify some god-criteria with you." No I think you need to clarify that with yourself, not me. There are many paths we can go down. Now maybe He can calculate all eventual outcomes, but until we make those choices, the outcome has yet to be played out. There are many outcomes. There is NOTHING you could teach me. If you have no evidence, then where and why have you "proved" your theory?

  • @Teddybhoy32

i proved the theory with logic. its not an evidence-based theory, becuase neither is the idea of a god, and this theory is based on the idea that there IS a god.

(but i don't BELIEVE there is, this is hypothetical)

anyway you're not realising that if god created the human brain down to the smallest detail, he would KNOW what choices we would make! he would KNOW how our brains would work! how can you not see that?

  • @The1andOnlyCG You have proven nothing. What is logic? Who says that is logic? How do you know human logic is the same as a supernatural logic? It is not about me realising anything. Can't you concede you MAY be wrong and it isn't about me not getting it? We can all calculate, but the thing is not all the input is the same. We make choices-you see that as God not existing. I see it as He has given us free will. You can't prove anything without evidence. Logic isn't evidence

  • @Teddybhoy32

it's possible you're REFUSING to get it; to be fair on you, the implications of such a theory mean that god is a total bastard and no christian would want to accept that.

you want EVIDENCE... but you don't seem to notice that this theory is based on the hypothetical existence of god, so i can't get any evidence...

"the thing is not all the input is the same" could you redefine that?

supernatural logic = fairies, ghosts, santa claus, anything you want...

  • @The1andOnlyCG What is proof and why do you claim to have it when you don't? Does it ALWAYS have to degenerate into a slagging match with you lot? Maybe just maybe your theory is a load of nonsense. It is something a 10y/o would come up with. I was trying to be kind and show you how idiotic your theory is. Also to claim you have "proved" it is extraordinary. The ONLY implication is you are rubbish with the concept of a theory and what exactly proof is. Grow up. That is bad

  • @Teddybhoy32 you're just being dogmatic now... ignoring my answers completely. you are using the argument of "god cannot be understood by humans", which really is christianity's way of saying "fuck you rationality".

you haven't actually gone into any detail at all, your answers are hardly even relevant to the points i made when outlining the theory.

don't get too high on your undeserved pedestal; your god is still a total bastard and his existance is beyond the laws of reality itself.

  • @The1andOnlyCG " which really is christianity's way of saying "fuck you rationality". You're a big hit for yourself aren't you. It is you who needs to stop the delusion and come now on your high horse. Back to reality for a moment. You haven't got a theory. You certainly haven't got "rationality". Instead of spouting shit, why don't you just accept (not agree) that I think your "theory" is nonsense and leave it at that. Stop generalising. I speak for ME alone, not Christianity, FFS! Female??

  • @Teddybhoy32

well its true! if you just say "god works in mysterious ways, he's infinite and beyond our understanding etc" thats like an excuse for not having any evidence for the existance of a god!

but thats irrelevant! so far you have CLAIMED that my theory is wrong, you have said it lacks evidence but completely ignored the fact that as it is a hypothetical god-based theory, and as the existance of god is without evidence, the theory CANNOT have evidence! its just looking at logical steps

  • @Teddybhoy32 continuing that point;

you have not conflicted the theory in any detail at all. let me make this simple for you.

if you are so sure that you are right, go into detail. You notice i numbered the points in the theory to make it simpler.

Use the numbers; argue with each individual point. If you think my theory is so flawed, POINT OUT those flaws, and do it following the numbered steps. This should remove any misunderstanding.

  • @The1andOnlyCG Look this is too much irony for me. How can I put it in simpler terms so you will understand? I thought you would have by now so I'm struggling to dumb my answer down to a suitable level for you. I'm not interested in doing the numbers thing. You had moved on from the numbers anyway and started talking shit and generalizing, so to ask for specifics is a cheek. Look upshot is I THINK your "theory" is child-like and baseless and your responses to me the same. Accept and move on

  • @Teddybhoy32

    5) basically what im saying is, god knows exactly how the human brain will work. (He supposedly custom-makes every person, so my argument DOES apply to all of humanity)

    6) God also created the entire universe down to the smallest detail. He must know the exact movements of every electron, every joule of energy etc. He has an infinite brain. Its inescapable.

    7) Therefore, by calculation, god is capable of knowing exactly how the universe will play out.

  • @The1andOnlyCG You even get it wrong with the things we do know. "The reason this theory works is that it is based on the core concepts of God himself". No because you don't understand the concept of what we are, and we He expects from us, never mind God himself. It's not about sinning, it's about being sorry for them. i repeat this as that is a basic flaw in your "theory". You don't get it. The only way to "know" God is to recognize it. You don't, so you can't. Blows your "theory" out the water

  • @Teddybhoy32

I used to be a christian.

Let's just clarify what christians believe god as being.

Does the following statement fit the criteria?

"God is infinite, immortal, omnipotent, and all-powerful"

If that is correct, then it is logical to say that he is infinitely intelligent

you haven't actually conflicted my individual points much so far. you may notice they are numbered. if you can see flaws in the individual points, please do tell.

  • @Teddybhoy32

    8) Combining these two points now:

God knows exactly how the universe will play out AND God knows exactly how the human mind will function.

These points are inescapable by a christian, as they are based on the CHRISTIAN concepts that god is infinite.

THEREFORE god, by calculation, is capable of knowing every decision, every thought, every choice that any human will ever make.

    But we're not done yet...

  • @Teddybhoy32

    9) If god has an infinite intelligence, he must be able to work anything out in an infinitely small amount of time.

    10) therefore he knew all the probabilities of human existence AS he was creating it.

    11) Therefore when he created the universe and humans, he MUST have known exactly how it would all play out.

    12) Therefore every human action is essentially predetermined

  • @The1andOnlyCG "when he created the universe and humans, he MUST have known exactly how it would all play out" ANOTHER evidence free statement." any "sinners" who go to burn for eternity in hell for their "crimes" were completely screwed in the first place". You don't even know how this works at all. There is no such thing as a living saint. We are all sinners, so by your child-like reckoning, we will all go to hell. No. If we are sorry for the bad things we do, we are absolved from our sins

  • @Teddybhoy32 i KNOW we are "all sinners" i've heard that a billion times.

interesting though, do you hold the belief that a non-christian can simply repent after death when he finds out god is real?

anyway, you claim its an evidence-free statement... what, do you want me to provide DATA about how god's brain works? did you even READ how i led up to that point?

don't just SAY my theory is wrong, go into detail! attack the individual points i made! they are all numbered!

  • @The1andOnlyCG If you concede IF God exists then He would have super intelligence. How could any human, never mind you, even begin to understand what that actually means? That is the fundamental flaw in everything you say, apart from the acknowledgement of what He is. That is it in a nutshell. To indicate you do understand is an incredible thing to say. The best way humans can understand God, is to know Him and recognize Him as our Lord. Without that, it is merely baseless conjecture

  • @Teddybhoy32

    now you're just being vague.

"if god is infinite, its logical to say that he has infinite intelligence, and therefore he must have an infinite ability to calculate."

find the flaw in that statement. go on. see if any parts of that statement are unreasonable.

  • @Teddybhoy32

    13) Therefore any "sinners" who go to burn for eternity in hell for their "crimes" were completely screwed in the first place.

The reason this theory works is that it is based on the core concepts of God himself.

So you see, christianity renders everything meaningless. All the world's a stage...

Bear in mind that this theory is irrelevant to me, because I don't believe God exists.

There may be various grammar/spelling errors in this, i'm typing quickly, don't worry about them.

  • @The1andOnlyCG We choose to follow God or not. That is why some openly follow God and some openly follow the devil. Others don't know and some don't let on!

  • @Teddybhoy32

    its not a choice!

    take me for example

i used to be a christian. then i decided i just couldn't believe it all, because the implications were not backed up by enough evidence for the god theory to be feasible for me.

if god created my brain, then my methods of thinking are inevitable, therefore it is inevitable for me not to believe in him

thats not "following the devil". there is no devil.

btw in the bible, god has killed a LOT more young babies than satan (moses in egypt)

  • @Teddybhoy32 he also created the entire universe vdown to the smallest detail, therefore, given the fact that he has an infinitely intelligent brain, it is an inescapable fact that god must have every detail of human existence pre-calculated from the moment he started it off.

hypothetically, an infinite computer could calculate every possible sequence given all the possible inputs.

similar with god. he CREATED all the inputs.

  • @Teddybhoy32 try and find a flaw in my theory. It shows that the christian concepts of "sin" and "punishment" are bullshit; any sinners were PREDETERMINED to do what they did, and therefore anyone who goes to hell and burns in horrific agony for all ETERNITY had no chance to begin with.

but let me give you some more basic stuff.

you ever read the old testament? god has a higher civilian body count than any human in history. noah's ark, jericho, murder of all the egyptian firstborn etc.
