So unless you became theist at some point (for many, in early childhood), then it is "you never believed in a god", rather than "you no longer believe in god".

The religious guy debating Richard Dawkins does appear to be intelligent and looks at religion in a philosophical way. However I think that all of his questions to Dawkins could be answered if he had more knowledge of science. It is evident from his responses that he lacks an in depth knowledge of basic fundamentals of the big bang theory etc.

Dawkins basically say he does not yet know the answers to the big questions and they are seeking these answers but states there is no evidence for God and the bible etc simpler do not stand up to scrutiny. I wouldn’t usually be criticising Dawkins, and I’m not religious but isn’t it a bit presumptuous to assume that the origins of the universe was a simple event? Lots of things in the universe are not necessarily simple. Perhaps by simple he simply meant understandable. But that is not something we can be sure of either. Perhaps the origin of the universe was so complex that it cannot ever be fully understood.
That said, he was obviously under a lot of pressure to give some sort of answer.

My statement is: "If god exists, EVERYTHING must be totally predetermined; the free will idea doesn't work."
The reason is this: God, having a superintelligent brain, has the capapbility to predict every probability given the input data. And he created the entire universe, so he is aware of all the factors. Therefore he must be able to totally predict the future, therefore any "sin" is predetermined.

The religious guy debating Richard Dawkins does appear to be intelligent and looks at religion in a philosophical way. However I think that all of his questions to Dawkins could be answered if he had more knowledge of science. It is evident from his responses that he lacks an in depth knowledge of basic fundamentals of the big bang theory etc.

I wouldn’t usually be criticising Dawkins, and I’m not religious but isn’t it a bit presumptuous to assume that the origins of the universe was a simple event? Lots of things in the universe are not necessarily simple. Perhaps by simple he simply meant understandable. But that is not something we can be sure of either. Perhaps the origin of the universe was so complex that it cannot ever be fully understood.
That said, he was obviously under a lot of pressure to give some sort of answer.

My wife travelled a lot when younger. She went to Ireland spent some time there.
We spoke about it recently with the uncovering of the pedophile network and churches cover ups. I had my atheist views on the religious hate, intolerance and killing that have gone on forever. My statement is: "If god exists, EVERYTHING must be totally predetermined; the free will idea doesn't work."
The reason is this: God, having a superintelligent brain, has the capapbility to predict every probability given the input data. And he created the entire universe, so he is aware of all the factors. Therefore he must be able to totally predict the future, therefore any "sin" is predetermined.

so free will is actually a load of crap. christians say "god didn't create us to be robots" but you see, if we were created by a god, we MUST all be robots. custom-made individually, but robots all the same.

you're missing a key point: god created the human brain down to the smallest detail, therefore he MUST know EVERY choice a human will ever make.
combining this with the fact that he created every detail of the universe, it is fair to say that he is capable of predicting exactly how every human will ever react to anything.
therefore if he KNEW what would happen, everything was predetermined because he CREATED it that way.

3) IF god is infinitely intelligent, he must be capable of calculating EVERY possible eventuality given the input data. That is an inescapable point. (For argument's sake, think of god as a big calculator in this instance)
4) Therefore as God created the human brain, he must know EXACTLY how it works, and by his divine intelligence's calculating capability, he must be able to know EXACTLY how it will respond to any kind of inputs (environment, interaction etc).

let's just back up here. this is not MEANT to be an evidence-based theory. I have yet to find any evidence that God exists, therefore a theory BASED on god is difficult to support with evidence.

These points are inescapable by a christian, as they are based on the CHRISTIAN concepts that god is infinite.

@Teddybhoy32 try and find a flaw in my theory. It shows that the christian concepts of "sin" and "punishment" are bullshit; any sinners were PREDETERMINED to do what they did, and therefore anyone who goes to hell and burns in horrific agony for all ETERNITY had no chance to begin with.

you ever read the old testament? god has a higher civilian body count than any human in history. noah's ark, jericho, murder of all the egyptian firstborn etc.
