Advice to parents of gay youth- St. Mark's Episcopal Church

The Episcopal Church has been in the forefront of embracing gay people and welcoming them into the church body, both as participants in congregations and as active priests. Bishop Gene Robinson of New Hampshire was the first gay bishop ever of any mainstream Christian church.

Though it led the way, the Episcopal Church is not alone. Its fellow original leader of the Protestant Reformation has followed it. The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America now, also, has gay laity and clergy.

It would be nice if the sound quality were better, as it is somewhat hard to hear. What this woman has to say is important, and religious people should hear it.

I take it that by saying "wholly human" is to say "more totally carnalized" or "I would advise the parent of a homosexual that they should be okay with that so long as they hold no hope of salvation for them." Boycott!

@PoofDuddy or that they enterpret "those verse" in the biblical context as explained by Masters New Covanant (also on my channel in the Advice to parents playlist), or that as long as a person accepts jesus it's all good as explained by the Apistolic minister (also on the play list) or as any of the other churches on my channel explain it. Besides science has shown homosexuality a completely natural part of diversity.

@RavenBlaze Your lies are the same ones from the Garden of Eden: go ahead and sin - you won't die! And because they have the same father, anyone who believes the lies follow them to their own peril - the pit. And such advisement to LGBT youth that it's "acceptable" is unacceptable by their Maker who will definately hold this church accountable. I Corinthians 6:9; I Corinthians 6:18; I Timothy 1:10 identify this evil, and I John 2:2 shows the cure.

I am an atheist and honestly don't care, but I went through a lot of shit growing up, b/c I was in a small conservative town in an anti-gay denomination. Churches like these help REDUCE SUICIDE AND BULLYING! Are you in support of teens being bullied to the point of suicide? I've got 8 gay positive churches here, your just one troll.

@PoofDuddy B/c I support every gay positive voice, check out my " why I feature gay positive churches" video. Even if I do not completely agree with someone, the more voices out there that are saying "love your kid just the way they are" and "it's okay to be gay", the less bullying happens, the less suicide, the fewer number of ppl commiting self-harm. They promote a message of love and acceptance and I support that.

This is such a good point, and it is to be hoped that you will keep making. It may be helpful to note on YouTube just which churches are gay friendly, for there are several of them.
