Hey im 19 and looking at buyin a 74 right now, but neither of us know how to price it. Its been sitting outside for about 5 years under a tarp, no engine or trans needs paint etc. I was wondering if anyone could give me a ballpark estimate to how much the body is worth? What kind of engines and transmissions will fit in it? And where can i look to find more info on the car? Any answers are helpful thanks

@DevinWhiteman I'm not really good with pricing out the C3's but, I'd say about $3,500-4,000. If anyone knows, feel free to correct me. How's the condition of the body and the interior?

@DevinWhiteman I would imagine that you have probably made your decision by now, but in the event you havent settled on a Corvette yet, here is some advice...these cars are very different from other GM offerings...they have some very specific problems, and specific parts, and are typically a pain in the ass to work on! Steering components and rear axle components are the two biggies that come to mind. Parts of the frame are prone to rot, and a car kept outside is a candidate for that

Dump th clutch, try to spin a little bit and it will start. you can take the brake to help you to start.
