this is a good technique but it is also a difficult one to pull off for a beginner. This, like the x block in karate is a advanced technique for it requires a lot of speed and timing to pull off and a opponant who is doing a commited attack from someone charging in. .
the guy wont be standing long enough for it to work this way but let me tell you that it WILL work. ive done this off a committed cross. at a tournament down on pearl st, i 3 pieced this guy with a jab, step in cross and spin on him with a hammerfist. it worked and he didnt even see it coming. landed dead on his nose. Good times *sigh* i think that was a better way of executing instead of an inside block, though i must admit it flows nice off an inside block. it has momentum.
Well you know what i saw there other videos they know what they are doing i saw there stances and what they called them they are right doesn't look right now because they are teaching you.
I am a black sash in kung fu and this is what i dont get why is he not wearing a sash hes wearing a belt i dont think this makes sence to me in kung fu you are fast not slow.
@shedrankit no in a real fight, not a kung fu sanctioned match. the guy that turns his back is getting his ass knocked out 9 times out of 10. these expert village films are a joke
not really a block as it is really deflecting the incoming blow, its kinda of like in Aikido where an opponent's energy is redirected and used againsted him but in this situation it is merely parried with what looks like a "block" you could find in Tae Kwon Do and or karate. personally i think its useless, its simpler to just parry and punch at the same time and then. overall its about timing and speed. really there is no one right way, it is really whats simple and works.
@Velet66 Lol, actually the spinning back fist is very quick. If you want to see it in full speed, try it, and if you do it right. Personally, I don't think it's great. I just know it works.
correct me if am wrong i think i saw this technique from muy thai only diffrent is that he used his hands instead of his elbow'' am dutch'' ^^

@poppingpro40 You don´t know F*CKING SH*T about Kung-Fu. Btw This really isn´t a Kung-Fu.
I saw you wrote that you doing Muay Thai. Just like me. But however, It´s not about the Fighting Styles
you are interest in, but about the Skills of each Fighter.. IAC be sure, that some Kung-Fu Masters
are the most Powerful Warriors and Fighters in the whole f*cking world..!!

cool move. I just wish he would show it to us with a little more flare and speed... you know like put your heart in to it!
all these expert village guys are always so slow and zombie like... maybe they start filming just after getting out of bed!?

@Velet66 Right, all spinning techniques are "do it really fast or don't do it", but the good thing about it is it ends on a KO very often.

so if i am trained in kick boxing
after watching this video does it mean if i put on a pair of shorts i can now go and teach thai boxing
so if this dude is wearing boxing gloves it must be boxing and not kung fu
spartoncrawler 2 years ago
In Sanshou you use boxing gloves.
ComputerJA 2 years ago
@spartoncrawler i`ve been doing `lau gar` kung fu for twelve years and not once have we ever used gloves. maybe they`re just soft puffs.
