I can speak honestly from a disabled POV and will say the first thing to being as happy as he is at this juncture is he was rich when he came down with PD. Most people who are disabled by such diseases don't have the luxury of reacting to their situations because economical reasons compartmentalize you to being a zero human being.

Today's world wants healthy and vibrant young people under 30 rather than anyone who seems over that age and GOD forbid you being gimpy in any way.

Guess he's right about how to deal with an illnes, but man it's easier said than done imho. I have something hanging over my head. Not actually an ilnes right now, it will become one. That makes me sick to my stomach when i think about it. Gues an important part of that puzzle is how happy you are in your life. It seems he's ahead of me in that direction, and good for him.

i think when you looked at his build in the movies his muscles did look a bit undersized for his frame. PArkinsons disease is related to the persons muscles and most people who suffer it have think joints and bones and weak muscles.

Michael shows us along with many other celebrities, that they are human too.

They have their own struggles. Alcohol, family, drugs, you name it. Like us, they do have their good moments and their bad moments. Like Christopher Hitchens has cancer, a lot of people wonder 'why?'. Why not? They're just humans, not gods.

brawlyproductions, parkinsons do not cause the tremor, its the medication, the most common bi-effect. you can hear on he's speech the disease is running it's course. you develop a tolerance to the medication and after a while you have to take doses that cause among other things hallucinations. there is different types of medication and most have their own pros and cons.

The thing that makes people suffer more than a disease is the negative and depressing attitudes of the people around them. You should be an advocate for him and help others fight for a cure, not give up on him, hoping that he dies before it gets too "bad". He's already suffering, so your comment just doesn't make any sense.

As of now its not beatable no, there is only medication to supress the symptoms. But once you have it you will die with it. And it progressively gets worse. Eventually as the medication stops taking effect the person becomes paralized and eventually is unable to speak or move very well.

Yeah it pretty much sucks and you can understand why MJF is so dedicated to trying to find a cure.
