I see you mounted your R6 pipe inversely on an older R6 or newer R6s - I did the same thing for swing arm clearance. I don't think riders understand how easy it is to mount. It is literally a slip on after you remove the new moto GP exhaust exchange valve... and it sounds GREAT. You don't have many miles on yours, but once you burn out the packing the exhaust livens up sooo much :)
i have a 04 r6 and i want to put an r6r exhaust on it and i was wondering how u got that one to fit ur bike? did u have to cut the intake on the pipe back some?
I have this bike and I basically want to do exactly what you've done to yours (fender eliminator kit, new corner lights, and the R6 exhaust) but i'd also probably buy some rims from RC Components and maybe lower it. How much did it cost you currently so i know how much to save up. Thanks.
I'm looking at a slightly used black one for sale at the store. It has a Yosh CF exhaust that looks cool. Haven't heard it, but Yosh rarely disappoints.
@KutWrite If you check out my other video, you can see/hear this same bike with the Yoshi carbon fiber slip-on. I liked it much better from a sound perspective and it looked a lot cooler than the stock muffler, but it didn't look as cool as this titanium shorty pipe from an R6.
Sounds pretty good, I think that is going to be my setup for the track. I ready the stock exhaust and aftermarket for the 03-05 R6 and the R6s. Love the shorty, but hate loud like f***ing busas with shortys. Nice Job!
how did you mount the exhaust, also will it hurt the engine with this exhaust. i have a 07 r6s and i was wanting to put this exhaust on it but i would like to get some info first.
Thats a cool looking bike, i always loved the design of the r6s but the only thing i did not like about it was the bulky stock muffler, it looks so much better the way you have it now. I love it: )
i'm picking up the titanium exhaust for the r6 on thursday, and i'm gonna put it on my 08 r6s. its pretty much a straight through pipe, and it's only about a foot long, i don't think it's gonna reduce noise all that well. but it'll be fine for now, i really just can't stand the stock exhaust. how damaging is a loss of backpressure because everyone says something different about it.
diff is r6 has ycc-t fi(which has a motor in the fi to adjust to different trottle readings) and inverted forks. r6s has fully adjustable fork and regular fi(which is probably more reliable imo) both awesome bikes!
Get the devil exhaust for 360 quid. Take the baffle out as belive it or not the exhaust is a little quiet then the stock. But with the baffle out the thing sounds ace. Makes a huge difference in mid range.
Nice! I hate how the stock exhaust on the R6S looks. Too big and bulky. I wonder if there's a system out there that allows you to run it up under the seat, like on the CBR600RR's.
can you tell me how you fit that exhaust with the stock header...i try doing it and dang the tip of the exhaust and the header don't even go inside each other
It looks _awesome_ but it's really loud to the rider. The R6S doesn't have the collector box that the '06+ R6 models have and the short pipe doesn't do much to muffle the exhaust sound. It's not really all that much louder to everyone else, but the short pipe pointing up toward the rider makes it really loud when you're on the bike. Most don't care, but I like quiet bikes so I switched back to my Yoshi carbon fiber exhaust. Check out my other video to see/hear that one.
what did u need to put the r6 exhaust on the r6s?

whats the diff between the r6s and r6???
maddi2k9 1 year ago
@maddi2k9 R6s is a continuation of the 04 style/generation model. The current models are the R6, or less commonly known as the R6v.

did you do any modififactions to the stock R6 exhaust or did you just slip them on?

I really want to do this to y 06 r6s..
curious as to how you went about this? any minor mods, cutting, refitting? you wrote that its just the end can..was this an expensive mod?

did you change the whole r6 stock exhust system or just the end can.thanks

Just the end can. I don't think the whole exhaust assembly would fit on the engine or under the fairing.

was the R6 end can and direct bolt up to the R6S?
