@kampongleader i has a chinchilla today but hes so scared and he goes under the sofa and stay there all the time why? and whit what do they take a bath?

i agree that the cage was way too small for that guy...he is a very cute chinchilla though....if you look at various chinchilla pet sites you will see the proper cage setups with levels, ledges, perches, exercise wheels, etc......not to attack you but to make you realize he needs more room to enjoy himself!
My chi was a clepto as well, he took everything from paperclips to magazine pieces, even coat hangers and stuffed animals and hid them behind the T.V.

btw the cage seems plenty big! just as long as the chin gets plenty of exercise (which you seem to provide plenty of), the cage doesn't have to be huge.
For three animals it should be ~1,2m x 50cm x 1,6m. Chinchillas also shouldn't be kept allone. There are just too many people which aren't informated enough, so i want to help!!
@MrsRatfreak Chins can be kept alone. For example my chin had a sister that passed away a few years back. She's pretty happy, but didn't get alone with chinchilla-buddies anymore when we tried to have a friend (boy/girl) for her. I just keep her company and give her many hours of exercise every single day.
Chins do like company,it's always better to have two or more chins. Mine doesn't want to, her sister was her best friend and now she's really picky about her company. I'm the best friend now.

If you have done good things in your life.. well good for you then. By the way my cage was 24"x24"x24"(its in inches). I don't want to see your cages. And i was saving up to buy another chinchilla, more ledges and perhaps a bigger cage. And as you stated, you too don't know anything about me.
Ohh really.. then i hope you are willing to buy me the cage that you think is more suitable for him. Honestly it was a two tiered cage and he was always let out. It cost close to $175 CAD dollars.
Ohh... one more thing.. i gave him up 3 years ago. Instead of commenting on random chinchilla videos and commenting on size of cages and how they are treated, you should try to do something more productive with your life. If you are really that concerned about animals, join the humane society and volunteer for them, instead of hiding behind a screen and whining about size of cages.
yea ur room is messy O_O otherwise its so cute but and do you just let it around in your room? without looking and if you did maybe it will run awey and cant find it becouse? it is so little :) (not like a dog XD)

very cute, ever wonder why he does this though? take a look at his cage he has nothing, besides the sand bath (which shouldnt be left in for more then 10 mins and if you arnt using it as a bath but as a house, remove it, chinchillas shouldnt have plastic) if you want any information on chins then you can message me
The bath house is just for his baths, i usually remove it within 15 minutes. His cage looks very empty because i was clearing it out, he does have a variety of chew toys but i am afraid of adding more stuff. Thanks for informing me though. The sad thing is i don't own him anymore but he has a new owner who also loves him very much.
