I just listened to the DBSK version and I must say Sarah Connor's is vastly superior. DBSK's is a little too 90s boy band for my taste. Sarah's version has a sleazy vibe that is a lot more fun. :)
@egglady Well they did debut in 2003 and Kpop is like 2 years behind American Pop soo it fits. TVXQ's was way better. They had great dancing, great rapping, and when Changmin did that high note it made the song all the more better. THis version has nothing really remarkable

@SephyStabbity Well, it's not really a remake (they both bought it, which is nothing unusual, most of both side's songs are bought), and actually, DBSK had finished recording Mirotic before Sarah did, she just hurried to release this before they released Mirotic. But yeah, bashing is silly. It's the same song. DBSK ~did~ do it better in my opinion, but there's nothing really wrong with this one.

The lyrics are kinda..raunchy? I find it funny how with Mirotic they had to change the lyrics to "under my sky" because they thought it was too sexual. If the lyrics were the same but just translated it would have been banned completely. With Under My Skin, I don't like the lyrics and her voice is not appealing to my ears. Honestly.. if I didn't know who the hell DBSK was or who Sarah Conner was, I would still like Mirotic better in my opinion. I like stronger beats and I love the parts SM changed, like how they separated Changmin's scream. And I really hated 2:14 - 2:28. Felt like it took the power away. I'm glad they edited that.
DBSK's version feels like it focused on the melody more. Sarah's version sort of sounds like "talk singing" when she's doing the verses.

Honestly.. if I didn't know who the hell DBSK was or who Sarah Conner was, I would still like Mirotic better in my opinion. I like stronger beats and I love the parts SM changed, like how they separated Changmin's scream. And I really hated 2:14 - 2:28. Felt like it took the power away. I'm glad they edited that.
DBSK's version feels like it focused on the melody more. Sarah's version sort of sounds like "talk singing" when she's doing the verses.
Respect for the original, but DBSK wins for me.
