How Cute!!! They turned out beautiful, after my kids I feel as if I lost my creative side..LOL..I hope I will regain it some day; but it's been to long!! he,he,he,he!
I think this is one of the best flower tutorials on youtube....they are gorgeous and it is a very pleasant to watch and easy to follow video...thanks so much for sharing.
I am still waiting for my tattered florals die to come after ordering on ebay..,now I am really impatient!
Hello jus browsing through flower tutorials and came across yours and fell in love with the satin flowers. I no longer have to wait for my Michaels coupon to buy a Jolee's one when Now I can make my own thanks to you. Your tutorial is so clear and professional as well as your talent for creating. Thanks so much for sharing, and by the way I have four kids and no time at all to scrapbook or create such gorgeous work as you do, so I here ya! Lol. My name is also Leanne and spelled the same :0)
It looks very much like a real flower and it's so rich!
I'm going to make some flowers out of left over material from a nightgown and attach a hair clip to it, so I can wear it as a perfect accesory for the dress!
Mr again. Beautiful flowers, I will making some of these. I have a question though, not towards you but in general. Everyone out there is making flowers out of fabric or using lace or making their projects using so many diff items. What ever happen to Acid Free. I thought we scrappers were to use acid free items when creating our layouts,The metals or wood or fabric I am using does not say Acid Free. Any suggestions? Its just a thought.
Oh, I like this way of making flowers! I just have to get some satin fabrics, and I'm SO-ooooooo excited that Walmarts came to their "flippin" sensed, and are bringing the fabric department back!!!!!! Hooray!!!!.. Now I don't have the Tim Holtz die set. I have the Sizzix flower set, so I'm hoping that will work too? We'll see??.. Thanks for the tutorial anyway! Your flowers came out beautiful! ~tina
Great tutorial Lee! You always make it look easy and I love the bucket of water so you don't burn your house down warning...LOL! You think of everything - fabulous teacher! ;-)
I just followed your tutorial & made this romantic flower...it's beyond gorgeous! My favorite flower to date! Thank you sooo much for sharing your creations with us! Love, love, love it!
oh I just found the perfect thing for you somewhere in a video/on the internet...there is a brand out there(maybe even more) which sells/makes silicone thimbles for when using your glue gun...thought would be just the right thing for you right?! hugs, xxDebbie
@debbiestip OMG!!!! I totally need a few of those!!!! My poor fingers have been burnt one too many times LOL!!!! Where can I find them? Thanks for thinking of me sweetie :-D Hugs ~ Leanne :-)
looooved your tutorial again Leanne, this flower is just another gorgeous example of your creativity! But...you forgot your bucket of water in your supply list hahaha ;-) had to smile when you added it your your list in another of your videos, but it's so true...playing with fire, bring your water hahaha...
Lovely flower, Leanne. Don't worry. I know you have a baby and spouse to care for. I marvel at how much you get done!! I am going to cut up my daughter's graduation gown (she doesn't want it) and make some flowers. It's a nice shiney black synthetic...can't wait!!
@Celie121 awww thanks Hope!!!! Hey...great idea!!! I still have my old prom dress from 10 years back lol!!!! It's a really nice baby blue satin!!!! I'm going to go cut it up right NOW!!!!!!! lol!!!!
@Janelljos I didn't get the same results...my heat gun doesn't melt my thick satin that well...but it works okay with some other fabrics. I also can't get the precision of heat application with the gun (it's the Ranger Heat it gun). I have seen others use the heat gun with really cool results. It's worth a try :-) Thanks for watching ~ Hugs Leanne :-)
this is SO the best flower technic i've seen on YT
Thank you a lot!!!
