Glacier was an over hyped wrestler when they brought him to WCW. He had potential, but unfortunatly didn't get a promising break. After all WCW just had too many wrestlers and only a few could shine in the ring.

@18izzo Yeah! They pushed him for a good while. He had a feud with Mortis(the late Chris Kanyon) they had I think three matches. Glacier won the first by pin fall at Uncensored 97, the second by disqualification at Slamboree, and he was pinned by Mortis in a tag match at Bash at the Beach.

I remember this guy fairly well because back in the late 90s, WCW tried to turn this guy into a big star. Wikipedia Glacier WCW if you're interested. Bischoff signed him to a huge contract without him ever having been a big draw. His costume costr 35,000 dollars and his ring entrance cost around a half a million. They put so much effort into it but the crowds never took to him cause he was just Sub-Zero for Mortal Kombat. He's a high school gym teacher now.

2 quick stories:

Paid my friend 10 bucks to go up to Lloyd and call him a glorified jobber. He went fucking nuts and starting screaming and yelling at the kid and kicked him out of class. He got 1 day ISS. Love to see the write up form: Reason: "called me a jobber"

But if you watch some of Glacier's matches on Nitro throughout 1997, you'll notice that the fans had really started to get behind Glacier (especially when Glacier and Miller were working together as a team). He got negative heat when he squashed Luchador jobbers like Ciclope, but got pops when he wrestled a good match. But the bookers were stupid and didn't know what to do with him.
