It's a sad song about what Caruso must have felt during his last days in Sorrento, and Naples where he died. The little girl in the song is his daughter born just before he died.

@saintveil: I'm sure Enrico Caruso never really detached himself from Napoli; even if he offically declared that he would never sing in Napoli again (after having been turned down by the audience). He kept his promise and never did sing in Napoli again, but when he was dying he returned to Sorrento to die....

Vorrei rispondere a tutti quelli che hanno detto che ha cantato meglio Cristian Imparato. Senza nulla togliere a lui perché è veramente bravo, quando ha cantato Caruso non mi ha trasmesso le stesse emozioni che mi ha trasmesso Simona.

Fortunatamente il mondo è vario, quindi c'è chi la canta in un modo e chi in un altro! :) Visto come si è ridotta la musica italiana, sono felice che almeno questi ragazzi portano in scena canzoni così profonde e riescono a suscitare tantissime emozioni!
