yes they do-had em for 2+ years &they would SAY they covered something when they didnt. we kept getting bills & BCBS (the BS is for Bullsh*t) continued 2 claim that they would pay, then they wouldnt. id get confirmation number every time. spent about 5 hours total on ONE single issue. Had multiple issues. yes they DO SUCK! & that was group PPO.

The only way to change health insurance is to boycott it. If EVERYBODY cancels their health insurance policy then and only then will health insurance companies listen.

Boycotting does work! Remember when gas prices were $5 / gal.? We stopped buying gas and it went down. O.K., so it took a recession to do it, but the result was the same.

Just got my processed claim report in from Blue Cross/ Blue Shield of Alabama for a consultation for getting a colonoscopy test. I'm now 52 years old and I'm due for my first one. The doctors submitted charges were 123 dollars. Blue Cross total benefits paid $0 with a note. Maximum benefits related to this treatment or illness have been provided for this patient.

well about pre existing, the youngdude was correct... prexisting can go for 3 months or up to a year.... specially if you are under medical investigation, it will reach up to 2 years... Blue Cross will not pay if it falls under pre existing condition ... we will require medical records to prove that condition , its either from your referring physician or from your administering physician...

Now Blue Cross is going to pay even less to the doctors. More doctors will be dropping them. If you are one who has had them for years and have had anything treated, it will now be a pre existing condtion and you will not be eligible for anything.

This is not true. A pre-existing condition is something that could be non-payable if you have been treated for a condition prior to coming onto a plan. Some BCBS plans have a one year pre-existing condition, in which anything you may have been treated for dating back one year may not be covered on your current plan with them.
