I can't say that they're bad at singing, obviously they're professionals. But when all you have feeling for is singing, not love or cars or anything else, it turns into a passion, something that I see in Sung Bong very much. The ONLY thing that makes him happy is singing. And he will quickly surpass many vocalists in his years to come.

After hearing this and Sung Bong's version, I can honestly say that Sung Bung's was much much better. Il DIvo is just a professional act. Not for a single moment did I feel anything special unlike Sung Bong.
they may have the perfect training and stance of professional opera singers but what matter is you capture the attention of your audience. they are great, but sung bong's version was the one i believed..i don't speak italian..but his rendition was much better. btw, i am not a korean.

Sung Bong Choi has not had enough training, unlike these guys. So what if he's making a few mistakes? He will correct them with training, it's the chance to train that he needed and it looks like he's getting it!
Okay Sung Bong did a great job for where he's at and that was one of the most touching videos I've seen in a long time, but he will take years of training before he will reach this level.
Sung Bong actually has some glaring problems with his singing technique and his voice control is nowhere near what these guys have.
I studied classical vocals for a while so I can tell. Sung has lots of promise but he needs formal training. Even someone with my level of training could help him improve a lot

@henrykazuo No, but really, this song is not screwed at all. This is Il Divo, they are professional operatic singers, these four guys were chosen carefully by Simon Cowell. Sung Bong, he has a lot of potential, he could be better, but he missed quite a few notes in his performance.

I can't say that they're bad at singing, obviously they're professionals. But when all you have feeling for is singing, not love or cars or anything else, it turns into a passion, something that I see in Sung Bong very much. The ONLY thing that makes him happy is singing. And he will quickly surpass many vocalists in his years to come.

Nella Fantasia interpretation by IL Divo. I love it, but it is not as powerful and moving as sung by the young Korean man Sung Bong Choi on "Korea has Talent" with his raw and unrefined voice but great emotion and talent. II think the lyrics really mean something to him. That is how he survived by escaping into a phantasy world where others lived but not he, not yet.

Its unfair to compare Choi with professional singers and performers. Choi probably dont know what he is singing. He just memorised the lyrics. With voice training and exposure who knows, he might be another paul potts.

Its not fair to compare the techniques of Sung Bong Choi with IL Divo. But what makes Sung Bong Choi stands out from his audition is that I truly believe in him, singing with all his passion and he has channel his life experience into his singing. While I think IL Divo was performing, Sung Bong Choi was telling his own story, through his singing.

After hearing this and Sung Bong's version, I can honestly say that Sung Bung's was much much better. Il DIvo is just a professional act. Not for a single moment did I feel anything special unlike Sung Bong.

they may have the perfect training and stance of professional opera singers but what matter is you capture the attention of your audience. they are great, but sung bong's version was the one i believed..i don't speak italian..but his rendition was much better. btw, i am not a korean.

music is a universal language..its something that everybody understands and feel...you dont have to be a genius to get what it is...nor u dont need training to judge how good it is ...The true gauge of how good the song and the singers are is the way it touches peoples heart and lives.....How it moved people and evoke certain feelings or emotions...and 2 compare this version, i guess choi sung bong exceeded beyond...way way beyond.....

Sung Bong Choi has not had enough training, unlike these guys. So what if he's making a few mistakes? He will correct them with training, it's the chance to train that he needed and it looks like he's getting it!

Okay Sung Bong did a great job for where he's at and that was one of the most touching videos I've seen in a long time, but he will take years of training before he will reach this level.
Sung Bong actually has some glaring problems with his singing technique and his voice control is nowhere near what these guys have.
I studied classical vocals for a while so I can tell. Sung has lots of promise but he needs formal training. Even someone with my level of training could help him improve a lot

If so, then you should know, that Sung Bong is talented singer, and I wish him all the best, but he is not complete singer. In some moments of this song is heard, that his voice needs more practicing. He cannot sing so high, and its hearable. He is talented, true, but he needs time to improve his talent. Dont match uncomplete singer with professional singers

The reaction I was responding to, was in short that Il Divo are making this for money and Choi "for free" - so thats one of reasons he is singing better. What I wanted to say was, that I know, they are not doing it for free, so Choi, because he wants to change his whole life. And why not with what is he doing best? Singing. I DONT THINK he wants to live with no money and I can understands reasons he is doing this

To me music/singing is a person's soul and not just their voice. Nella fantasia is an amazing song and Sung bong is singing it with feelings for a reason [lyrics] :) Where did you hear his voice not going high enough? :O His pitch was near perfect and I am being objective. anyways love the song :)

Why do i say "a little amount of dust". As you can see, a museum which holds a "Sunflower" much have been a very elegant, luxury museum. So the cleanliness is most likely in proper condition too. A dust around a frame's corner is a common issue, no big deal...
Sung-Bong have a great talent. We all agrees to it as we all agrees to how great is the "Sunflower". A small slip of tone is a no big deal as a small amount of dust around the frame's corner...

I dont deny I like Il Divo, but even I have to admit that this boy has potential to be great singer. I can only guess, that part of Sung´s popularity is only thanks to his life-story. So be it. But if comes to singing, then as I said at the beginning, difference between his version and Il Divo´s is still markable. I wish him all the best, but personally I am preffering Il Divo and not Sung

He can sing pretty good, but there is still something to work on. He needs a lot of practising to be able to match with professional singers. Sund has potential to be as good as Il Divo are - but not atm - Again - there is no rudness

@Mithrandir1983 I totally agree with you. But then again, I can feel what and why Choi Sung-Bong sings, whereas here I can only listen to a technically perfect performance. I think most people prefer soul and emotions over perfectionism. And by the way, every boy here sings the part, where he is strongest at. So no complete singers here either ;-) My local pizza baker also gives me goosebumps every time he sings classics, the boys here not (sorry lads)
