  • great technology which will spill over into the disabled, impaired, etc

  • 2:33 LOOK BEHIND!!! THAT ROBOT S TRYING TO STEALTH-KILL YOU!!!

  • Just imagine what they are NOT showing us. 0.0

  • Why only loading or carring heavy back packs, this system could easly be armed. This could carry the M134 Mini gun, its ammo, and has the power to fire and absorb the recoil of the 308 round at 3000 rounds per min, all while retaining accaury. Same with the M2 Heavy machine gun 50.BMG. not to metion the endless civilan aplications.

  • @hummerskickass AND MEDICAL instead of killing each other...

  • MAXIMUM STRENGTH

  • Science, fuck yeah.

  • @zhnigo Just think, these were the nerdy kids that got beat up in junior high.

  • "Raytheon Books $50 Million in Electronic Warfare Contracts" @raytheon's webbsite

  • @mastergeodude lol have you never seen a troll before????

  • real nice, but to improve stability i wold add a gyroscope

  • it looks ugly as hell, now make it look like something out of starcraft. (terran marines plz)

  • please go fuck yourself, this shit is stupid!

  • @SuperProphit Why is it stupid? Not only does it have uses for the military loading weapons etc. it has countless benefits for everyday use! Emergency services for earthquakes could effortlessly dig people out of the wreckage, eventually when it's advanced enough people could literally pick up broken down cars and carry them to wherever they needed to go, that is to name but a few benefits this would give us.

  • to much power for them to use it on riot or freedom fighter we all doom

  • Bring in the power armour, spesshh mahreens attack!

  • Ya know, If the Black Death and the Dark Ages never happened, we would already have this technology by now.

  • 2.32 -> THE FIRST TERMINATOR - JUDGMENT DAY IS UPON US !!!!!

  • FUCK YEAH, SCIENCE.

  • Wtf, 200lb on a back machine and 35lb dumbbells...is that supposed to be impressive? I'd expect most full grown men who do a little lifting occasionally to be able to do that. Lame as fuck.

  • @Mussa Ok now hold it for 5-10 hrs. First one to get tired loses.

  • @Mussa ya but those guys cant do that all day long and not get tired

  • @Mussa yes but would you be able to continue doing that non-stop for half a day? I bet this could.

  • So the combat version is the same thing France has now.

  • @stalkingalizee Not better then the German iDz

  • @Abdikarimelmi IDZ doesn't have an exoskeleton.

  • @stalkingalizee But it a future solider project

  • @Abdikarimelmi It doesn't exist, the French HERCULE does

    watch?v=qooATCMCgm0

  • @stalkingalizee COOL! But too bad your gov would not implement it

  • @Abdikarimelmi See the DGA logo? That is our military testing agency.

  • @stalkingalizee The USA wins because the HULC already works and needs only batteries

  • they should rename this the "T51-B" and just be done with it

  • MECH WARRIOR COMETH!!!!

  • Why couldn't they have Don Cheadle or Robert Downey Jr? Why do they have the guy who was the agent of SHIELD which is actually a front organization for HYDRA?!?!

  • I can think of far better not military uses for that. Such as a warehouse.

  • @avmf8 I dunno, if it can save the lives of some of our soldiers, then I'm all for military applications! Don't get me wrong, I still think that it will be used in commercial, and non-military applications. However, if you look at the technology curve, new science has always gone to the military first, and THEN trickled down into the civilian market.

  • @Tazer430641 Until someone else makes a weapon that can counter that one. Seriously though can't one invention be about not blowing things up? Even the net its self is a military technology. Who ever thought it would later be used to watch videos of cats.

At any rate I cant see in the battle field that being used. Unless its loading something such as loading ammo in a tank or something.

  • hmmm well as long as it's not becomes unmanned...

  • it needs a 50. cal machine gun ore anti tank rockets

  • That is badass O__O you could be a real life superhero with such a thing!

  • Hahaha! Bay 12 please!

  • dose this all so have a miniature ADS

  • Now all we need to do is power it with a miniture fission or fusion reactor and hook our brains directly to it. The blending of man and machine. It's inevitable. It's the next step in our evolution or de-evolution. We'll live for thousands of years, have super physical strength but forget or lose the knowledge of how it all came to be. Kind of like we are now. Oh well, at least we'll have enough intelligence and strength to build some awesome stone structures.

  • dont put a backpack on the soldiers give them armour with all of that integrated into the armour.

  • Make a handheld Minigun next and attach them together!

  • @Marcohazard there is one actuly. its called the XM214 it fires the 5.56. its a hand held mini gun made by gerneral electrics for the special forces. they where experimenting with the consept of a hand held mini guns for a soldier in the field but it was too heavy and would produce massive recoil when fired. but the XOS 2 can handdle the weight of the weapon and its ammo. it can aslo control the recoil because of its strength.

  • @Marcohazard: ur right wth the recoil & the weight bt there is also another limitation to the mini gun in such a scenario (its infact its strength aswell)...the mini gun fires at an enormous rate (around 4000 rounds/min compared to a 1000/min of M16)...& so to b effective it needs large quantity of rounds to haul wth it. In an aircraft as AC130 or oboard a gunship tht might not b a prob bt wth the hand held variant, the quantity of carry-able ammo would last perhaps for a min or 2 of firepower

  • @passssionate it fires 3000 rpm and the strength of the XOS 2 would alow it to carry large amounts of ammo and this is america and we americans never have a lack of ammo :D. besides there would problably be a hummve or a striker apc around some where with some extra ammo, or what ever veichle deployed the XOS2 to the combat area would have some extra ammo

  • wow imagine if iron man guy was real. he would be like 10x smarter than Einstein for coming up with an exosuit waaaayy more powerful then XOS 2 - all by himself

  • @nfsYT IN A CAVE! WITH A BOX OF SCRAPS! :D

  • @Perserra in that case that guy would be 100x smarter!!

  • LOL!

  • whats the song?

  • They ought to paint it in multicam.

  • theoretically, you could make a tiny nuclear reactor using a single rod of uranium, a lead aperture, and a control rod behind the aperture. It could be as small as a motorcycle engine, and it would have a running time of a few weeks to maybe a couple of months, depending on how pure the uranium is.

  • @AmadCatal1 If that was to happen, then surely a world Resistance group would be formed to overthrow the government, if they took things to the extreme

  • uh nice thing to play with :D what's the pricetag on one of those?

  • Maybe it's a protective instinct, though. It could be that we're doing it through the mechanical or ai right because we're afraid to goof with our own genetics. Perhaps there's a good reason for that but I can't help thinking it's just simple prejudice.

  • I think ti's odd that using steroids or something similar to make soldiers stronger and more durable would not get funding while something like this would. Why is it that when something is non-biological it gets support but when it's biological we have a gut instinct to reject it? I think it's the worst irony.

  • On the military side it looks like they wnat to use it so soldiers can carry more gear further and for when cargo is being moved around. I think this will have some uses but I think people here are exaggerating its potentials.

What about genetically altering human muscle so that it's stronger and more durable? I would think that would be far better than something like this. It would certainly get more protesters, but it would be more practical.

    Perhaps nanomachines to change muscle.

  • This is going to be like the Segway. It'll have definite uses, but those uses will be very limited. In this age of drones and robots, it's very doubtful that this will ever have a direct combat role.

  • can it lift a car?

  • Now all you have to do is layer it in thick sheets of titanium and an outer layer of bullet proof fiber glass. Mount a rocket launcher to one arm and a howitzer to the other, and send ten out into enemy territory.

  • give the guy a minigun and put kevlar all over it and you have master cheif

  • 10 years until the machines completely take over.

  • 2:32 O_O

  • @TheHornet79 IT DOESNT NEED AN HUMAN TO OPERATE!! RUUUUN!!!!!!

  • @TheHornet79 lol its about to kill him HAHAHAHA

  • We need to go back to using swords and shields, it'll bring out the real man in you.

  • But will it blend?

  • THE FUTURE IS HERE

    DON'T TRY RUNNING

    MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • nice,nice now do a nanosuit

  • aint got shit on a t51b

  • looks like the exo suit from S.T.A.L.K.E.R

  • Needs more nukes!!

    AMERICA FUCK YEAH!!!!

  • Imagine these suits in 20 years...

  • I'd feel like Goku with that thing

  • The finished projectshould be called the "T-51b powered infantry armor"

  • @Kurotaisa I was thinking about the power armor whole time too:) Great reference

  • halo and iron man here we come

  • FALCON PAUWNCH

  • CRACKED

  • cracked!

  • How long until these are available for civilian use? I want one.

  • Come on you apes, dont you wanna live forever?!

  • Adeptus Astartes

  • I didn't come here from Cracked.com.

  • Get out of here, Stalker!

  • We present you the XOS 2! *10 years later* maximum strength, maximum speed, cloak engaged....

  • CRACKED...

    Seen it coming..

  • Interesting how a bunch of folks with soviet era AKs and homemade bombs reacquire us to invest so many resources in shit like this

  • Falcon-Punch

  • Needs a machine gun and some sort of brass knuckles. :D

  • Ok now armor the untethered version, give it a support laser, jump jets, a machine gun and armor tearing claw, two missile launchers and we have ourselves an Elemental...

  • Inb4 cracked shit comments. dont post them please.

  • @Saukkomestari funny how I only see complains in videos without the "cracked shit comments".

  • Needs a Rocket Punch.

  • terminators are next.. doomed mankind here we come

  • now lets go conquer pandora!

  • As much as i hate all this useless military funding, i have to say thats one hell of a machine.

  • My favorite feature is the effing meat hook fist attachment (0:39). I know its for "lifting"; but lifting what? You won't see guys carrying palattes of ammo cans or something with this. It is meant to be armored and a weapon of sheer terror. Smoking a villiage with conventional munitions pisses off the survivors and creates more resistance. When you mag dump an AK-47 into something and it still shoves its horrible claw through your dad and lifts him off his feet, capitulation is necessary.

  • @TheSalingb LMAO, Horrible claw. I have no doubt you're probably right.

  • OMG ITS ALIVE 2:33

    ;)

  • This shall be good for the elders and disabled people, not for killing.

  • @rayhsiao88 it can be good for both, seeing as the military can use it to protect the freedom and well-being of those people, along with allowing elders and disabled people to have the strength that a normal person would. if you listen to the video, they said there were 2 variations, one of which "the combat variation"

  • SCV ready ;D

  • But will it blend?

  • Anyone notice the UNSC marines exoskeleton?

  • But, will it blend? That is the question.

  • Amazing! I would love to work for Raytheon!

  • Does every nice invention NEEDS to be in the military?

    geez

  • @nzigen31 i wonder if it will still work when a mortar shell explodes near it

  • @nzigen31 Most modern inventions started as military equipment. Even the microwave oven and radio technology started through military research.

  • whats that suit behind that man at 1:14 - 1:26 and also it show again 2:16

  • you cant wait to see XOS 3? i cant wait to see when that thing has a malfunction and kills everyone :3

  • This kind of tech truthfully scares the crap out of me (if it is used for the military). I believe that we already have enough people who want nothing more than to shoot and stab at each other. I believe that this will only elevate the conflict; what happens when you cannot kill the man in the suit. People will build stronger weapons and implement them on both the protected and unprotected soldiers. I see nothing but bad coming from this being used in the military.

  • @dmirti1993 And? If you don't pick up a bigger gun when you see it, someone else will. And someone else might not be your friend. It's not a fun reality, but it's truth.

  • @ShuHibiki Yes, this is true but it shouldn't be. I'm not naive I know that people will always fight, but why do companies like this one have to accelerate the violence and killing. It's sad; this company will make billions of dollars off of this machine that has no other purpose other than to ruin someone else's life. It doesn't make any sense to me.

  • @dmirti1993 People are going to fight regardless so why not make something that will help to save the lives of the home team ya no

  • that guy is from marvel cinematic universe, the shild guy, hes testing out some armour to compete with ironman lolz

  • Boards...do not hit back,

  • 2:32. Its alive!!!

  • chuck norris is a ginger dirty old man and bruce lee would kick his arse hole if he was alive!

  • Cool technology! I only wish I trusted the politicians to use it wisely...

Power tends to corrupt, and the leaders of the US and most other govts have proven themselves to be VERY easily corrupted by power...

I hope these talented and capable engineers don't rue the day they developed this marvelous technology.

  • @freesk8 boo hoo hoo

  • And, of course, they want to use it to war. bastards

  • @Tumoxa89 Yes they are going to use the thing made for war in war.

  • @kokofan50 Exo is not "made for war".Japanese using their exo's for medicine. Good guys.

  • @Tumoxa89 When you said it I thought you ment this one not the tech in general.

  • I agree lol give our soldiers that suit with armor and a mini gun ooooo that would be bad haha

  • does it strengthen your manhood?

  • Umbilical cable has been cut!

    5:00 INTERNAL POWER

    SHINJI-KUUUUN!

  • @LOLitsJono

    DEPLOY PROGRESSIVE KNIFE!!!!

  • @LOLitsJono That's how I expect our early powered suits to operate once they're servicable. A plug that goes along with the suit so it could recharge often. And if there are no buildings with outlets, then a vehicle would be used. If the wearer needed to change positions during the course of battle, they'd unplug for several minutes and plug once they found cover.

Solar panels could help extend its operational time if need be.

  • @ManintheArmor Well how large would the power plant be to to move 1-2 ton suit of armor (realistically speaking) , and last for 30 hrs or days or weeks; especially special operation missions.

  • Why would they not use it in a combat role. Like being able to walk around with a m2 50.cal machine gun and lay down heavy fire. Or carry a m134 mini gun and it's ammo. Just armor it to protect the user and it can be used on the front lines

  • HALO SPARTAN ARMOR COMING SOON

  • imagine this in the zombie apocalypse...

  • give me that suit with armor and a weapon and i go masterchief on peoples asses

  • holy shit... its the agent from SHIELD....

  • now lets make it fly!

  • @ninja134 that would be sooo bad ass.

  • now let's make it 50 ft tall and packin a 100mm cannon.

  • @MrBubonicChronic yaeh and toss mini-nukes and hate commies, oh wait thats Liberty Prime

  • @mando1911 man that giant robot said some funny shit.

  • Comment removed

  • altho it is supposed to be the closest thing to the iron man suit to me it is nothing like it and it doesnt give any extra protection against fire only the strength side......

  • @MegaJ0sh lol...you do realize that is just..the skeleton right?...lol...when you literally place the armor that encases the skeleton, your basically like those of the Terrans >.> XD LMAO able to run through walls and kicking ass while bullets just leap off of you..no seriously, their making an armored suit for the skeleton so you become a minature walking-tank support unit..pretty cool huh?

  • @ZergSwarmling until someone with a $2000 ww2 era anti tank rifle punches a hole right through it.

  • @AlternateArtisan yeah, good luck aiming with that when the target is moving as fast (if not, faster) as a marine, rolling while holding 1 if not 2 M134 miniguns aiming about...yeah...good luck with that...

  • @ZergSwarmling Keep in mind this thing is much too cumbersome to be at all agile, plus, the person with the anti tank rifle has the advantage of stealth because it's such a big and noisy target. Something the person wearing the suit won't have the luxury of. Hell, a 40mm shapes charge grenade could probably defeat any kind of armour worn by this thing. so even against non-specialised troops it'd be risky.

  • @AlternateArtisan I don't think it would actually really be Cumbersome at all since the trooper seems to be jogging very smoothly, reacting normally. however, you are right about the noise, since the higher the density and mass, the harder it is to use less sound. The fact and truth is these arent going to be on every soldier infantry, or out in the open much, since its a full on-support unit and ambush unit. made to intimidate, support infantry and possible meatshield.

  • @ZergSwarmling it might work in house to house, close quarters fighting or anti militia combat. although it's usefulness would depend if the opponents have anti armour bullets or not. And to up armour it enough to be immune to all small arms fire would make it weigh several tons. making it completely useless in house to house fighting since it'd fall throught the floors.

  • @AlternateArtisan it wount be that heavy it doesnt take much to stop a 7.62x39 round so its armor wont be insainly thick and by the time its deployed in combat it will probably be a lighter more powerfull model. XOS 2 if its given a untetherd power pack it could be used in combat if armored up. the XM214 would be perfect for the XOS 2 because it could handle the wight of the mini gun and its recoil

  • @hummerskickass your standard 30. cal can penetrate about 5mm of steel up close, and can do almost 8mm if it's API mind you, to fully encase a person in 8mm + steel would take about 400kg (medieval armour is generally 1-2mm thick and weigh about 50ish kg) then add another 200kg for all the propulsion systems and batteries and another 100 for weapons and ammo, and you're almost the weight of a willys jeep.

  • @AlternateArtisan true, I forgot about the right armor amount...so what do you think would be the adequate armor value?.

  • @ZergSwarmling Depending on what materials, but at least 10mm RHS equivalent to stop all small arms fire at close range. But forget trying to protect against a .50cal because you'd need upto an inch of steel to stop an API round at point blank these days. The wieght problem comes from the need for all round protection because all the armour in the world won't protect you if you get shot in the back or the side.

  • @AlternateArtisan Consider titanium tungsten alloy, perhaps combined with nickel or iridum if you have carte blanche at your disposal as part of the armour plate composite and see how you do.

  • @DARTHMOBIUS advanced alloys like those are primarily designed for resistance to HEAT ammunition, they're only marginally better than steel for protection against kinetic weapons, that being said, their protective qualities are vastly different when scaled down in size so theres no guarentee they'd even work better than steel at such small scales.

  • @MegaJ0sh exo-skeleton. its just a skeleton. wait till the armor pops on, the weapons n shit. itll be a walking tank.

  • It would save a lot more money if soldiers were in better shape to lift those objects then to pay for that machine.

  • @codename7000

i don't think the average gym rat could punch through 3 inches of wood. not to mention that soldiers are in peak physical condition at all times

  • Dam that's just nirvana. Putting something like that on and being incredibly strong. Can't beat the look either. WOW!

  • now wheres the covanent

  • F yeah

  • I think this will make the human race OP

  • Well... This will help when the C.E.P.H attack NY too. ]Crysis2] (Loved the Zerg and Protoss comment)

  • From here it will require more effort and more expensive technology, causing oil prices to rise at an accelerating rate from now on. This is what is referred to as 'peak oil'. Oil company propaganda would have you believe that we aren't there yet, but that is demonstrably false.

  • @Perserra That would be true if it ran on oil.
