Its so obvious there are three blue 44 x 6 and two black 22 x 2 equalling 353lbs why is this even a discussion? Other thing i can say is this is the second quickest way to rupture a disc, first being a jump squat with that much weight! Spine cant take that much compression on the way down.
fukin hell that small guy has some serious strength, and those step ups are just so uncomfortable, gotta have a good core to stay balanced on one leg with all that weight
@itzoxy - actually to clear this up once and for all, there are 3 BLUE plates and 1 BLACK plate on each side - so to do the math, blue plates are 20kg, go to any olympic gym and any blue plate is 20kg, and the last plate is a 10kg, thus it is black and thinner - so add it with me, 6 blues is 120kg, 2 blacks is 20kg, and the bar is 20kg = 160kg or in american ignorant pounds- 352.8lbs
I read the info "This is our last set of 5 at 350 for 4 reps" My first reaction was like "Damn! that's impressive leg strength for someone with such small calves"..until i realized thats only like what?...220lb ish?? LOL come on man its one thing to show your workout, another to be a poser and exaggerate what your actually doing :/
Each one of them Hugongous weight plates are only 22lbs each. So don't think he's lifting 400 lbs people! Not sure if it's even 200, can't tell if there are 3 or 4 on each side?

Actually, it really is that much...blue plates are 20k...so thats 70kg on each side so its actually 353lbs if you want to be technical
Ducadunk14 2 years ago 4
@Ducadunk14 if they are 10kg, why do they say 10? just a slight technicality.

@Ducadunk14 except for the fact it says 10kg on the side... gtfo

the margin for error on that... holy crap what happens if you slip or get tired or... anything? how do you even spot that?

You could always get a safety squat bar and use one of those, but they are damn expensive - I'd rather slip!

You only did it strictly for a few reps towards the end.
A strict step up consists of placing your driving foot onto the platform THEN powering up,not keeping it there throughout.
Still-good heavy weights man :)

Heavy weight so props to you...but those are far from strict reps.
