  • The jigs are now called Luna Bait Luna Jigs. They are the replacements for the old Megabait Live Jigs. Same lure designer / better manufacturing facilities.

  • those jigs look great! id like to try some around the oil rigs in the gulf..... cool video....

  • Great video. Like fun. I'm going on a tuna trip in April 09' I may have to give a mega bait a shot.

  • nive fish, shoot i should use bega baits a bit more

  • c'mon guys. This is a great jig. While everyone else is fumbling to put on a live bait, you throw it it on the slide. I caught 7 barracuda on May 9 2008 using this and even caught a rockfish off the bottom with 2 pieces of squid hanging off the hooks to boot. This is a great lure on Albie. I use it and got 5 albie off a 1.5 trip out of SD on Aug 8 2007.

  • merdis

  • Nice video. The Song is called Open Your Eyes by 12 Stones

  • I agree with kwinselmann. The pixelation kills the vid. Cool soundtrack tho.

  • Can you make a better Megabait demo video? Send us your submissions! ExtremeLures dot com

  • C'mon. You guys can do better than that. I see guys reeling in fish. I never see the Megabait lure up close or how to fish it. The reels they were using don't appear to be casters so how are they getting the lures out there? Is it trolled? From that big boat? I doubt it. Didn't tell me much.

  • Please. At least one person is clearly seen retrieving like he was fishing a jig right before he was hooked up. Also, fish being pulled up clearly have a the jig hooked.

  • obviously you dont know much about fishing, its not hard to cast a jig with a conventional reel and when jigging for tuna theres no need to cast simply drop the lure down to the depth of the readings of the fish

  • nice background music.whats the title?

  • steve!! ha this was on the outerlimits co capt steve there at the end... love that boat

  • fun catchn true albacores wahoo!!!

  • Interesting 'technique' displayed by those fighting the fish! Lol.

  • Its called "short stroking", a very popular technique in Southern California.

  • Don't recall seeing anyone doing this on the boat we charted out of San Diego. The deckhands on our boat kept telling the ones that looked like they were to not "pump". BTW, that gear some of those guys were using looked like severe overkill for the size albies being caught.
