Thank you for sharing Julia's story! JDRF has been a God send to us, they remind us that there is HOPE and give us an active way to work for a CURE! I wanted to recommend tudiabetes, they have a group for parents and it is a great place to get/give ideas, support ect. Stay strong!
For a while my mom thought she had type 1 diabetes because she was having some of the symptoms. It was so scary to think that there might be something wrong. It turned out to be something else. Julia looks like she is having a good time outside! I hope she is doing well!!!
Just to say we loved your video, our little girl has just got a Ruby Bear too. We'll show her your video when she wakes up tomorrow and maybe she'll even make her own video of her and Ruby. Sending you our best wishes Anne-Marie and Phil :-)
HI jUst to say Isabel and I have made the video but are now waiting to get the cable we need to attach it to the oc to download it, we didn't want you to think that we had forgotten. Isabel is so keen to 'talk' to Julia, hope you're doing well. Anne-Marie and Isabel Gibson
She was going potty a lot... and drinking like a fish.
We thought it might be attention seeking behavior, or a urinary tract infection, so we brought her to the doctor. I couldn't stop shaking when they said her glucose was off the chart.
wow that seriously must of been so shocking, like totally out of the blue. and 500 is soooo high. before my grandmother went to the alzheimer's home we would have to check her blood everyday and my mother would cry when it was above 250! after that i started taking care of my grandmother more often... hehe. still, i wonder what drinking water has to do with too much glucose in your blood. glad your little one is doing better. :)
Poor thing! It's incredible watching the strength in these little ones who have diabetes esp when they bravely take their shots. Holly has a friend named Olivia at school who has diabetets and recently got her pump. It's been a great help to her family.
Aww, matching dresses!!! :)
