@therupak1 i have the same problem as yours but here is a solution that worked for me i wish it will work for you its really easy you just have to go settings , general , network and turn off ENABLE 3G good luck i wish it will work for you i tried many things i jailbreaked and did many things for this iphone but none worked only this simple solution GOOD LUCK !!!

This video is outta date don't use iOS 5.0.1 contains new protocols that the jailbreak doesn't understand. The results are 5.0.1 jailbreak will cause firmware corruption if you use it once this happens you can no longer use the iPhone you have basically turned your iPhone into a I brick and I have talked to the apple store who tested my device and he said the same thing I'm telling you

Depending on your Week Iphone 3GS Its either thered for now. If your tethered then go into the "Just Boot" mode.

Please. I've tried everything. Redsnow (0.9.10b3) never goes to the end of jailbreak. When I go to extras first an put the firmware myself, the first step (prepare jailbreak data) comes out with a message "error preparing data".

I can't use my iphone for 3 days... it's stuck at the configuration page and cannot configure at all (on itunes and wifi)

Has anyone had problems with the ios 5.0.1 panic reboots? My iphone 3gs randomly cycles through reboot sessions. First it started out as only doing it while it was charging. It now does it all the time and the only solution ive found is to turn on airplane mode. I know its a newer problem with the ios and lots of ppl are struggling with it.

Ik heb alles precies gedaan zoals hierboven en het werkt. Alleen nu installeer ik ultrasnow via cydia ik doe vervolgens boot tethered. Oke, geinstalleerd maar hij vind nog geen kpn kaartje alleen Tmobile. Lees ik het nu goed en moet ik nogmaals jailbreaken en dan alleen installeer cydia aanvinken?

Ik heb nog een 3GS old bootrom (andere) en die crasht meteen na de dfu in de reboot. Ik krijg dan een itunes logo te zien.

then i changed the properties of redsnow executable file to 'run as administrator'

and 'compatible with xp service pack 2' and it worked awesome man..thanks again

@dbwun i don't know, but if safari and mail is crashing you must boot tethered. when untethered jb will come out, than it will be no problem

@dbwun that can be fixed by connecting your iphone again, open Redsn0w, then Extras, then click 'Just Boot' option, after all that's done (should take 5 mins) it'll reboot by itself, and it'll all work including cydia and safari! Hope i helped :)
