alldisfunn-I'm Trini too and although our cultures are different there are still many similarities and I have spoken to Jamaicans to that say we have pretty similar cultures.
I was team Jamaica AT FIRST then my cousin started dating a Trini guy and when she brung him to dinner we asked his nationality he said he's Trinidadian I smacked my lips and jokingly said "Too bad you're not Jamaican" lol because my aunt is married to a Jamaican and I love Jamaicans. Then the Trini won me over when he bought dinner and was super down to earth. With that being said I've met both nationalities GREAT people. I'm #TeamAfrica meaning where ever my people are from I got love 4 it.

People don't have to generalize themselves as "Caribbean" in order to embrace difference. Yes there are similarities (the heat?) among islands, but they are also distinct in culture. For example Europeans and Asians & Africans of different countries and cultures may share some commonalities but are also very much distinct in culture. For example Europeans and Asians & Africans of different countries and cultures may share some commonalities but are also very much distinct in culture.
