When the United States economy fails, it directly effects countries all around the world and vice versa. Also, the war on terror cannot be successful without as much global cooperation as possible in association to foreign relations and diplomacy. obama is convenient for europe. obama's proposed taxing of American corporations will drive many of them to europe where the tax rate is low to nil. example: Ireland, once the pauper of europe w/highest tax rate now richest since taxes drastically lowered. Germany has very low tax rates, & even Russia has proposed lowering rate to remain competitive. So europe is lowering tax rates while cheering for obama who wants to raise rates on American corporations. indeed, a very clever stratagem!

No, Europe isn't USA's enemy, but business is business & maximizing shareholder wealth creates a healthy economy for those nation's friendly to business by lowering taxes. Responsibility for the economic global crises actually began with Andrew Cuomo, HUD Secretary under democratic Pres Clinton. Cuomo sued banks to gain subprime loans for people who couldn't afford them. Then republicans deregulated even more until the bubble burst. It burst because poor people couldn't afford expensive homes.
