anyone reckon shorter ppl are quicker as opposed to average height ppls? the smaller u r (not kids) less weight n less drag im guessing....................is there any short ppl of say 150cm or under that can race like this?

There is a certain weight limit everyone must weigh at other wise you are DQ'ed. Usually 365lbs for rotax sr. As for the height you can duck your head, i do, also it dosent make such a big difference at 60-70mph, maybe a tenth of a secound

Go karts do not have enough drag for this to matter, only difference is they are up higher and there fore generate more grip due to the centre of gravity

owwh, he got past the guy on that last turns, then didnt see him coming up on his right side, instead of his left. be better if u had a little rear vision to see whos behind u etc, prolly make fewer crashes out of racing esp these high speeds. n it wont hurt but that guy could prolly lose a few pounds/kilos, not saying his fat just saying, u wana go quicker...shed the weight n it was just me but didnt anyone notice he was only pushing it round the corners towards the end? hey, iv been to all sorts of karting events, and all of the guys at the karting places tell me i should buy a kart, and start up. however i do not want to go and spend thousands straight away, does anyone know where i can buy a reasonable good kart for a good price. and which karts are good for a beginner, (i am quite good though so not too shit lol) many thanks

babiiblueboi, you could start now but you would start in a slower class than this but since your 16 you might want to start with like a 4 stroke which isn't this. Then once you get good enough get into the which is 2 stroke and then if you are really good then you might get promoted by other teams like indy car or something but that mean you have to be pretty good. But all this will cost big bucks.

16 years is 2 old if you want to drive championship. If you want race you have 2 start at least 10-12 years.

Same here but its hard becasue it costs so much! I do indoor Karting and can easily reach the final! I say indoor karting is the solution if you cant aford to buy the kart yourself!

I think you use the wrong Rear sprocket. You had little accelration and to much top end. You were coming to fast on the stright away causing you to flat spot your tires. GO with a slightly bigger rear sprocket, and you will be suprise how much better you will do. I have 12 years go kart experience.

I have a rotax 125CC First Kart and coming out of the turn it keeps bogging down. Ive been running a 86 tooth sprocket but i am going to try a 80 tooth sprocket next time im at the track. Any suggestions? ALso the damn red dial on my kart? NO IDEA? ha. Im the driver, not the machanic ;) but i am hoping to learn more so i can fix/ know whats wrong with my kart. any help would be great.
